I'm not really interested in the Masons per se because the Jesuits turned them into just another control system.

What interests me is why these 3 cities are set up as city/states operating as legal entities separate from their surrounding countries.

Masons were involved in the creation of America it's true. However, Washington, John Adams, and some of the subsequent Presidents and some "big wig" Masons were deeply concerned about the reconstitution of the Jesuits and their infiltration into Masonry. It's in their writings.

It also seems that Sir Francis Bacon was instrumental in setting up America as "the new Atlantis", at least from what I've read.

The nature or character of the Masons seems to have changed over time due to Jesuit infiltration and influence, based on what I've read.

To what extent early American Masons like Washington were good or bad matters little to me in the end. Once the Jesuits took over, the Masons became part of the problem (if they were not already). That's all that really matters - IMHO.

The 2nd President John Adams wrote 4 volumes denouncing the Jesuits and his son the 6th President was a noted anti-Mason. "I do not like the appearance of the Jesuits. So my point is that something drastic seems to have occurred between the founding of America and the creation of Washington DC in 1871. In less than 100 years the Masons who were among the framers of the organic constitution seem to have been completely infiltrated and taken over by the Jesuits. The USA was then into a corporation that serves the interests of Rome.

The Masons are not monolithic, there are different factions within. The American Masons who were generally benign, seem to have changed character over time. The evidence points to infiltration by the Jesuits. I am by no means an expert on these societies but their exists reams of evidence to suggest this.
