Younger gen have to be careful not to conflate hippies with boomers.
I would say hippies were like betas of today.
Other boomers (the majority, I would say) took a lot of shit from the hippies. No love lost.
Trump's not/wasn't a hippie, he's the opposite.
I think boomers who weren't hippies see their spokesman/champion in Trump. It's the old used up hippies who are the ones who protest Trump today like they protested Nam in the 60's.
