It has to do with a quantum computer existing simultaneously in separate but similar worlds. They all think together to get a probability based consensus and deliver a result. When that result emerges, it can be from a timeline where a particular item was different, and thus the connected timelines get changed accordingly with their acceptance of the information.
Thus you get things like Bearenstein/Bearenstain, VW logo being split/merged, or the Fruit of the Loom logo having/not having a cornucopia in the background.
