By now it's become an automatic process: THINK, don't factor in how palatable an option is or is not, especially to myself personally. "I want, I need, I demand" doesn't go very far in defining reality.

Even if a fake Q is accepted initially, with this group especially it won't be long before a lot of holes start being poked in whatever story is presented. A fake Q showing up with the current trip code probably won't last 3 postings before people start challenging.

Maybe a looptie-loop like he did last time wouldn't hurt … post something under new trip, sign on with old trip and confirm the new one, then confirm the new one. Of course anybody cracking the current one could do this as well so this switch would have to go down before that happens.

It's just too early (and I don't even drink!); I stated that all wrong but you understood … I meant create a new trip, use yye1fxo to validate the new one, then sign on with the new one and validate the yye1fxo validation of the new one.

The board code should be modified to ditch DES and go with something a little harder to break. I can do it, and I'm sure many others here can as well. I can get by with PHP but it's not my specialty, Intel assembly is. I'm the last of a breed. :)

This new Q map I'm working on … I'm going to spend at least 12 to 16 hours today verifying, validating, and correcting … is it worth the effort? I'm going to complete it regardless; I'd just like to know that somewhere along the line it will make somebody's work a little easier. The idea behind the format was to make things graphical and uniform, thereby making the process of connecting things easier and more uniform. I don't know if it's really going to help in that department. Either way, I will finish it because I started it.

YES, you can't go by what you see in the movies about cracking passwords … that is so laughable, the "writers" who insert that crap should be jailed for excessive stupidity. A SECURITY system that tells you, character by character, how you're doing when you're trying to break it? Seriously? You have to program that capability in specifically to get it. As was stated, 6 of 8 doesn't mean you're only 1/4 away from solving the whole thing.

Honestly, it's a privilege to do it. I spent 3 years in Army intel (just a collection stooge) and that pales in comparison to the excitement of living through THIS.

This is still freaking me out. Know why I chose Matlock? Because my roommate has the Hallmark channel on all nite every nite, and several months back, they aired old episodes of Matlock every night. It was the first thing that popped into my head. Which show I picked seemed as significant as which grain of sand you might pick up off the beach.

Nothing goes in but what's on the spreadsheet. This is where I need confirmation so I'm sticking to the spreadsheet. What's been posted is that the spreadsheet is the most accurate record there is.

Even better, so I have to do like the intel community does and use "multiple sources" for verification. I would think the existing maps that Q has approved would be the best, except when was the last time he's approved a map? Things get a lot easier after the trip was implemented.

Herman Cain, wasn't it? The Rent is Too Damn High party? What ever became of him? With that carefully sculpted facial hair, he would be a much better fit in Victorian era D.C.

Messages have come through with and without a space, with proper trip; even the instructions to newbs at one time said both were valid. Are the ones with no space now invalid?
