I'm just going to go with the idea that, at the very beginning, perhaps Q didn't know how long this would go on, or didn't know how much he/she/they were going to post.. and used a password that was relevant to the situation. I.e. Matlock is a character on TV that exposes evil people on the stand.

I just don't think it matters that much. It's entirely possible that he/she/they knew the password could be cracked at some time.. but also knew that the damage would be minimal because if someone DID crack it, then the only worse they could really do is try to mislead people, which would be obvious when the dots didn't match..
Well then we'll know where the came from.. ;)
