This is correct. But some people get their etymologies from ancient wisdom. For those who do, there are four developments of the term :
The first appearance of the term refers to the angel that threatened the misdoings of the high priest Baalam. This establishes Satan as a force of God.
The second appearance of the term refers to David (of Judah) as both a threat and a savior to the people.
Obviously this dichotomy exists today between modern Zionism and Jesus.
The third use of the term is in regards to there being no more Satan in the time of Solomon, the time of great wisdom, which is now soon coming again.
The fourth appearance of the term is as the only thing that now prevents this. It is where Peter withstood Jesus' crucifixion.
Today, this represents church leadership that prevents the "Body of Christ" (the church business) from "dying" so it can be resurrected
as an instrument of truth promotion for the people.
