I thought the P could be Pater ( father in Latin)

Anyway this led to discovering

“The Rothschild Prayer Book” written and illustrated with miniature paintings around 1500 AD.

Unfortunately my Latin is too poor to read it but a closer look at the illustrations has been revealing. I’ll share some of the most striking /pertinent.

-“Mary’ squirting breast milk into ‘Jesus’ head

  • A closer look shows the child with a possible broken /swollen left arm and what looks like bruising on his body.
