Look back on your own past. Every time something good happened, there was no warning. You never saw it coming. All of a sudden you were just in the middle of it and it came out of nowhere.

Which means a hundred wonderful things could easily be waiting for you at any moment and you won't see them coming. Doesn't mean they're not there.

"The best way out of a negative is a positive followed by ACTION as soon as possible."

Going in the front door and "going through the system" is crap. You will get jerked off until the end of time and never get hired. You'll spend hundreds of hours sending out resumes that nobody even reads. Instead, direct connect with people. Make contacts. Go into forums. Get to church and connect with people. Be unorthodox. Be unusual. Don't piss people off but do get noticed.

Pick a potential position. Start doing and providing something they'll consider useful. I once worked at Ford Aerospace. Every morning the managers had a meeting in the room right behind where I sat. I started giving them summaries of what was going on with the parts sent out for repair. It wasn't a week before they started coming out to ask for that report. Nobody ever told me to do it! I made it up!

Think outside the box. Start doing the job you REALLY want. You'll put less time into that than you ever would chasing resume shit down. Whatever the work you REALLY want to be doing is, just start doing it. And give it away - just long enough to get noticed. Miracles will happen.

One would not need nor want a ham radio license for listening in on military targets. They use completely different frequencies and procedures than hams. A ham radio license is only good for transmitting on ham-approved frequencies. Useless for anything military. And people might elect to use the old radio comm specifically because intercept ability in that area is all but dead.

Things like this tend to cure people of thinking there is some kind of altruism or virtue in sacrifice or thinking "I don't deserve __" And why does the next person deserve it but not you?
