Rev 12:1 - 6

There are many scholars who believe this is actually about past events. Specifically: The birth of Jesus on Sept 11, 3 B.C.

I'm not going to do a detailed explanation any justice, so I'll give you the cliff notes version. Michael Heiser very eloquently explains it in "Reversing Hermon".

They calculated where Virgo would have been in the sky to make her clothed with the sun. The narrowed this event down to a 20 day window.

Next, the moon under her feet narrows the time window down even further - a 90 minute period.

They also analyzed the star seen by the Magi in Matt 2. This is Jupiter retrograde motion & it was taken into account for the date I listed as well.

>don't ever look into missing books of the Bible such as Enoch

I completely disagree. Jude thought highly enough of Enoch to quote him. Early Christian leaders such as Tertullian and Irenaeus argued for its inclusion in the canon.

Without 1 Enoch, the following passages don't make any sense:

> By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

  • 1 Peter 3:19-20

> For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

  • 2 Peter 2:4

>Those verses can be interpreted and understood easily without needing the book of Enoch.

OK so then what's the explanation for 1 Peter 3's "spirits in prison"? 2 Peter 2 - "Angels that sinned"? enlighten me.

You can ignore those questions if you wish because here are the most important questions: Which version of the KJV is the one that was most inspired? Which version best preserved his word?

There are many lost people in these threads and you are turning people off by your Holier Than Thou KJV mathematical curiosities. You need to check your pride.

KJV is superior to some modern translations but not for the reasons you've stated. And it's not the only reliable translation. I will explain myself after you have explained yourself.

Anon - Stay on point.

KJV has been revised multiple times. So which one is the most inspired version? (I am not including NKJV)

Gen 6:1-6 - Thank you for proving my point. This passage doesn't say a single word about angels being imprisoned.

>Enoch

For those of you interested about angels being put into prison and the origin of demons, you can find the answers in 1 Enoch 6 - 16. This is the only online version I could find.

>But He can't preserve His Word in pure form for future generations, in their tongue?

>Also use the KJV Bible, I posted earlier mathematical proof it was perfectly translated and preserved.

>it would be an incredible feat to make sure there are no typos.

I'll just leave this right here.

More important that spelling errors however, is this: Q: why the KVJ 1611 contain 15 more books than the 1769 version? That goes way beyond spelling errors. A: Apocrypha. Did God want the Apocrypha or not?

Stop this KJV-only faggotry. (Fun Fact: Sir Walter Raleigh called King James "Queen James")

If your argument was "Only read NT translations based on the Textus Receptus" I'd be with you. But you keep spewing mathematical curiosities where the KJV produces some unique outcome as proof its the only version authorized by God.

This is such a low quality thread. I'm out. But I'll leave you with a Protip. You may want to reconsider telling a board full of highly purified, military grade, weaponized autism they should never read missing books of the Bible. Its probably not going to turn out the way you think.
