First of all God knows his sheep, so your claim that I'm turning lost people off by being "holier than thou KJV" isn't true. It is impossible for me to prevent any of God's sheep from coming to him, likewise I cannot convince someone who isn't one of God's sheep to go to him.
It's not pride, it's the truth. In this world there are only 2 things, the Truth & the Lie, the Saved & the Lost. I have the utmost respect for all born again believers whomever they may be, because they came to the truth and it set them free. They believed on his son Jesus Christ, which is all that's required. You don't need to know these numbers, you don't have to be super intelligent, you can have severe learning difficulties and be saved. God didn't require works or intelligence to be saved, he required faith, like those of little children. So rest assured these numbers are only one proof of God's many miracles & wonders.
But however many times someone say 1 + 1 = 3, the truth is it will always equal 2. Mathematics is either true or false, there is no in between. That is why these numbers prove beyond any reasonable doubt, that God Word was translated perfectly into English without errors.
For if we believe there are errors in God's Word, then how can we trust anything he says, including his promises to us?
If God exists and is 100% perfect, knowledgeable, true, & powerful; but he somehow can't preserve & keep his word for future generations, cultures, & languages, then how can we trust anything in that book?
Just forget about the numbers and ask yourself, why a perfect all powerful God would require men to translate his Word into the English language again and again and again, because they just can't get it right?
Does this not nullify that he is God?
If I open a book of Harry Potter, and change a word here or there using a thaesaurus. The story will be similar, but it isn't the same book, the same word.
KJV is the perfect English translation, and there is no need for anymore translations into English.
Are you telling me God let the men of the KJV leave out the book of Enoch because he forgot it was part of his word? Or he did it because it was not a part of his word at all. You add the book of Enoch into the Bible, most of those numbers wouldn't even exist.
I will start a new post for Peter.
