If Q had said 'we'll be off for the festive', we could have relaxed.
It's obvious now that Q has been off for the festive, however not us, as we were awaiting him.
In any relationship, the decent path would be to say hey, I'm not gonna be around until date.
The indecent thing to do would to be to keep people you have an established relationship with, hanging on, awaiting your return.
As such, I await Q to do the decent thing and turn the fuck up.

As an instructor and teacher, also, I personally wouldn't leave my students 'mid course' and without debriefing and saying adios / bon voyage /Q!goodluck, I'm here if you need me etc.
