I am phone fagging but have been researching on my spare time at work (but dare not use the corporate network to access 8 chan… they probably would be none the wiser… but, I'd rather not be the guy who is why we can't have nice things).

 

Kim Il-Sun took out a bunch of foreign debt in the 70s to try and build unfrastructure. Massive concrete company and some other stuff.

 

Anyway - he began to default and entered full default in the 1980s. It was around that time that the National Defense Council in NK was formed and officially consolidated the authorities of government to the head chair of that council… Kim Jong Il. Rather than domestic production, the NDC deputized the infrastructure into a military-industrial complex whose funding became somewhat obscure…

 

Who was NK in default to? How did they take possession of the collateral? The NDC?
