that's where you're wrong. preserving the power grid is exactly what needs to happen to preserve our way of life. reason being, many prepared Faraday cages, stored multiple electrical items. Once event over, items come out, still work and can use the "preserved" power grid; wah-lah, we have a semblance of normalcy.
