Textanon, I just spot-checked based on your edits. All looks good. I even took care of the little bits (# of timestamps/datetime consistency on 1 post)

A notable change I made with the latest is 0-padding on single digit dates. If anyone wishes to use it, the two textanons are completely in sync now.

Perhaps… see:

pastebin.com/agA4fBqJ

The lines beginning with Try finding by ID in EST: are verified and correct EST times.

I was surprised to find these discrepancies. I know it's a thankless task, SA, but your work is needed. Please verify. God Bless!

In short, there was a discrepancy during Daylight Savings Time. The board went by GMT and our browsers were set to EST. EST went from -0500 to -0400 at some point.

It's worth verifying all the posts listed here:

pastebin.com/agA4fBqJ

They are correct.

Probably both boards. It's listed at the top of the pastebin… copypasta for you:

# File at anonfile.com/p98dtedcbe/q_raw.txt

# contains all 259 IDs of Q's posts. The date & times, however,

# appear to be wrong/not matching in the cases listed below.

# Please check/verify.

#

# All times in the file are presumedly EST, while in the original

# HTML source all time are defined as Zulu time (user's browser

# (does the conversion to local time set on the user's machine)

#

# Original times in GMT have been converted according to:

#

# "The Eastern Timezone is an area 5 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time ( GMT-5 )

# during the winter months (referred to as EST) and 4 hours behind

# Greenwich Mean Time ( GMT-4 ) during the summer months (referred to as EDT)."

#

# Switch Summer β†’ Winter was:

# "When local daylight time was about to reach

# Sunday, 5 November 2017, 02:00:00 clocks were turned backward 1 hour to

# Sunday, 5 November 2017, 01:00:00 local standard time instead."

#

# So every post before 06 Nov 2017 06:00:00 (GMT) has 4 hours of

# time difference between GMT & EST, after that time diff is 5 hrs.

# GMT is always ahead of EST (i.e "later")

Incorrect understanding, SA. There are 59 posts in that pastebin where timedate discrepancies occurred. Just verify that you have the correct ones.

If you were to visit the links of the graphic compilations now, especially from 4ch (4plebs), they have correct timedate stamps that match the pastebin. It is not because someone went and manually changed the date. It is because the coding that calculates Daylight Savings Time finally caught up with GMT.
