It's not clear exactly what is going on there: i think most mods/bakers have good intentions. But… something's not right, as well. There are some weird bans/posts deleted for odd reasons.

Like you, i wonder why it is taking so long to take it all down, but it does make sense that first you clean up under the radar, and only when the process is mostly (or completely) over can you go public. (they are updating the % as they go along, as we've seen when pressed to be more public)
