This is a great question. Possible reasons:

he knew Codemonkey was compromised and therefore couldn't risk coming back

there was no way of proving he was who he said he was after the LARPers took over his trip

he was removed from the exec office of the presidency when Adm Rogers retired on Jan 5 (if anyone can find a source for this I would be grateful - Dr Corsi said something about this at one point)

coming back would compromise the existing good drops. This is probably why POTUS doesn't say anything now. 'Current Q is fake!' taints the whole of Q.
