Spoke with the medic unit who did the 508s screening before deployment. They made it sound routine, just a basis rotation. I asked this person if they've ever met anyone who's rotated through Gitmo and the answer was no. They said average deployment for those guys will be 90-180 days.

The NG unit isn't killing people. They're not being sent to torture kids. They are proving support ie: setting things up.
Currently there are around 65 inmates at Gitmo.
Gitmo will be used for foreign terrorist, VA will be the resting home of the domestic terrorists.
