The White House on Monday said President Trump was briefed on a suicide attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The attack, which took place in one of the compounds for Afghanistan’s national intelligence agency, left at least five people dead and two others wounded, according to Reuters.
Afghan security officials said the Christmas Day attack was carried out by a suicide bomber.
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement to the organization's Amaq news agency.
The group took responsibility for an attack carried out at a training facility within the same agency last week.
The attacks come after the Iraqi government announced earlier this month that the bloody conflict with the terror group was over.
