ABOUT AN EVENTUAL GVT SHUTDOWN

It's a double-edged sword; couple years ago, there was a crisis in the Belgian gvt, they couldn't agree on a deal to actually seat the government…

As weeks went by, the citizens started to realize that everything pretty much was going normal, i.e. they didn't really NEED a government in the form of a Parliament in order for things to work, the apparatus (i.e. the civil servants) was enough to make things work…it came to the point where the elite started to freak out 'cos people started to wonder if they actually NEEDED a bunch of "representatives" at all…

tl;dr a shutdown will have very little impact, if any at all.
