I think it might just be coded language for the oft repeated Mueller is ourguy theory
The sub had a "stealth mode," was trying to defect, the people it was defecting to mistakenly thought it was an enemy, when it's own side tries to sink it, it somehow tricked them into sinking themselves, and makes everyone think the red October got sunk, while it actually limped to survival
Mueller is percieved as being sent to destroy trump via an investigation with lots of sneaky bs. Most on the right thought he was an enemy. However with the latest shit going on where he's been canning his own team, he's been using the dem's own ammo against them
