As I recall, he was a very bright student of maths, physics.
The shooting was very odd, in a number of ways.
Questionable if it was even the same person before/after.
Questionable identity of lawyer.
Baffling motive.
Even to him, apparently. Appeared dazed in court.
Is it possible he was onto something they wanted to keep to themselves?
Or discovered something he wanted to share with the world, but they had other plans?
Did the Clowns mind control him?
I'm fuzzy on the particulars of MKU/WW/Mockingbird. I presume one of those is applicable.
Symbolic significance of the stage of the shooting? Batman right? He was Joker.
I can't think of any, other than Joker is archetypal trickster.
