I just want to air a small thoery i've had that i feel Q kinda confirmed atleast in part with his lates posts.
Q is not his/her/their name.
Q is a predictive signature like Godfather III and Sum of All Fears has been.
Q stated at one point that all the signatures will be important.
We naturally referred to him/her/them as Q due to the signature of each post, hence Q adopted that name, not the other way around.
