I volunteered with Salvation Army,, they have the food trucks that feed homeless, those same trucks are used in disasters( fires, to feed firemen) They have services involving child care, after school programs, feed elderly programs( provide lunch for 2.00) . They are one of few if only charities allowed to solicit/ ask money during Christmas( in front of most every major store, across America. They provide toys for poor children. They work with the red cross. Red cross is used as piggy bank for blood and money. Salvation army sounds like a similar piggy bank. How many toys actually reach kids in need, compared to what they receive? How much money do they actually give back to community? compared to what they take in. Also there is a level of access to children and teens.

They also run many homeless programs and shelters( access to people who can easily disappear?)
