Consider the Lord's Prayer as an instrument used in black maji_ck…every day, all over the world, at the same time, every hour, the same words are repeated. It's a spell. Power that is harnessed by who…?
If this premise is accepted, the next consideration is the effect of the change of the wording…
Lead us not into temptation
vs.
Let us not fall into temptation
The first assumes The Creative (I prefer this over Creator, or God) is addressed, and requested to lead the prayor to a place away from temptation.
The second seems to not even address The Creative, but rather to make "falling" into an evil place be a matter of choice, and takes away any protection from the one prayed to.
Overall, the change seems to be a step away from The Lord, a separation from the Divine.
