DAR could be a reference to DAR: Daughters of the Revolution. It, too, is a 'blue blood" society. The members must be able to trace their lineage to those who fought in the American Revolution. Just a suggestion….

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a lineage-based membership service organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the United States' efforts towards independence. A non-profit group, they work to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

NOTE: THEY ARE ALL ABOUT BLOODLINES. They have a whole section on genealogy available on their website.

Good Luck!
