To a point you're correct. But the scumbags are some of the SES level people in govt as well as some of the GS15s and 14s. But really, most of them are OK and just trying to do their jobs. At some point they'll get an order from above that seems OK, but afterward they realize it was not the best thing to do for humanity and the country. Those are the ones Q talked about when he said most are not bad, and even some that did wrong were essentially blackmailed and would jump at the chance to get out of it all. Ask me how I know.

It may happen explosively and unexpectedly. In fact I'd bet on it. This is war, and war tends to have mostly apparent lulls interspersed with intervals that are terrifying, confusing, and exhilarating (if you understand what's happening and competent at your role).

Was. Like GEOTUS I was in the middle of it all but never liked it. As time went by found ways to be trusted by them without helping them at all. Not in a position to hurt them much but managed to go right up to my moral line and still stay a white hat. Loved my job but hated the dark side of shit and refused to be involved. Helped innocents and ignored or made things a little tougher for the dirty when I could. Was too good at what I did to be canned or neutralized. Wasn't a hero or anything like that, but there were things I could do (autism?) that only a few could even understand. So I was needed for the good side of things and they needed that to continue.

Problem with authority was something I struggled with for years. Probably still have the problem. But I was lucky and always found people to work for that had issues with them as well, but were trusted enough to let me rise in the org and take on more and more. Had to transfer all over the damned country to do it but it works. Just know what your boss's limits are and go right up to that line and stop.

By it's very nature the SES ranks are supposed to be everywhere. The career ones make or break a program. The politically appointed ones are a president's civilian generals. Look up SES.
