best of both, index is always faster to pick a thread up, starting a thread in the catalog isn't any faster or slower, imho

chunky clunky is fairly new and fast but the keyboard is push and less touch and I like it better, it's also bigger and heavier than most, not sleek in any way, getting used to touch keys now but still prefer the more typwriter like feel
