Firefox plugins been using them for years, since long before Q.
One is installed on Firefox the other on IceDragon (a FireFox fork)
It downloads as mp4 then I run through Handbrake and resize as needed. https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php (avail on most OS)
If we could post .mkv it would alleviate a lot of the issues as it has better compression (smaller file same quality)
