1) Ok so, was baking on bread #3

2) Anon asked if I need a break

3) I said who dat

4) Anon shares pastebin link, says frenly fren

5) I say well, I'm hungry and could use a ciggy (hadn't confirmed anything yet)

6) anon says ok I'm on it and posts a list of notables as to where was at

7) I say, I'll finish this one and you can meet me at the dough (was around 450 or so posts, bred was flyin')

8) anon acknowledges he saw that I'd meet at dough? (wasn't communicated well)

9) at next bread dough, not sure where anon was, but I posted baker seeks handoff, thinking they are waiting

10) anon posts acknowledged, but doesn't tag dough or identify themselves

11) I think hmmm, dis a shill, noob, or?

12) I don't say anything and wait, cuz was just gonna keep baking waiting for better comms

13) Another baker offers to take the handoff with clear comms

14) I handoff

Not sure, but I think someone claimed I was shill baker, cuz didn't post notes (I think they were referring to the original notes anon posted when responding to me saying I need a ciggy and hungry)

Also, later an anon stated they tried to bake several breds back, but couldn't get a handoff, not sure if it was the baker I thought was gonna take the handoff, but didn't follow thru with good comms (they simply posted acknowledged?)

Def made it confusing. I wasn't asking for a break and it was very distracting as I was already tired and like I said, bred had been flyin' the whole day while I was baking. Kinda frustrating, cuz I think they were trying to help, but it only frustrated and distracted me, when I was already struggling.

Hope that makes sense, I posted a duplicate or two. Anon is tired and partaking the Michelob kek

No offense to the anon who tried to get the handy. Just using as an example of comms. Definitely want to help new bakers and only posting it for that purpose!

Yea, bred was flyin', I was warming the ovens already, cuz barely made the breds before that, waiting too long, and found myself in this confusing convo, where they just ran with a handy I wasn't even requesting and a full list of notes they'd already collected. So I just said hey, meet me at nb dough. At the nb dough, I was confused cuz they didn't tag or identify themselves and shills were out in force, soooo I was like, hmmm let me see if this is a shill or what, preparing to continue baking. Honestly I thought they would figure out they didn't tag me and I'd ask who dat or something and prob handoff, give 'em a chance. Stick around to assist. Hopefully I didn't offend, but did need a break so jumped on the opportunity when someone else chimed in.

You get better at it over time. I think for me, I look for relevance/importance, I often ck the links for dates and to grab titles, since anons often don't provide. It's its more than a day or so old, prob been posted already. Only way to really keep up with current events is to ck notables often and then ck links for moar info. If you can't do that cuz it does require really fast fingers kek. Just ask anons opinions, ask for moar sauce or moar details, like date summary, relevance. If unsure, just don't add. If anons complain, ask them to repost or to get moar info.

Yes, adding something like reminderโ€ฆ or moar onโ€ฆ diggsโ€ฆ something like that. I have no prob with it. And yes, anons will let you know it's a repeat, but not always. Different shifts sometimes post same news updates. But, it gets all eyes on it, if it's something important. Sometimes I get home and go thru notables for several hrs to get caught up. Most people aren't gonna do that.

Yea, I was at work all day yesterday, but you can really get caught up trying to verify or decide if something is notable. In that case ask for a summary or moar info and move on. Trust me, anons will provide moar. Cuz when you get caught up, you look down at post count and realize you should already be baking kek I ask for moar info, a video, moar sauce, dates or whatever and keep right on rolling. If i have time, I may ck for myself for dates or the content of the article if it seems important and they only provide a link and screen shot of nothing. If not, I say briefly moar of whatever and keep rolling. I don't mean to not be chatty, but (gif related)

I try to post notes often, gives anons time to speak up about repeats, stuff I missed, extra sauce etc., today I was struggling cuz breds were flying. Didn't get to post updates as often. I do think it helps to post notables as often as possible.

oh, also would like to add that news articles about inflamatory stuff that could literally set off national security issues, I ask for moar sauce. Other day someone got mad cuz I asked for moar sauce on some issue regarding aggression with sensitive countries and they were mad bcuz I didn't ask for moar sauce on other articles. I'm not gonna be responsible for setting off some sensitive relationships between countries, so yeah if someone posts something regarding something that could set off aggressions between countries, I need moar proof that something actually did happen. Cuz we all know fakenews doesn't give a f. They just want the clicks and many have evil agenda to do just that.

I could sense you did and wanted to cover you. Was my honor to provide some relief and I was off so was determined to be there all day. My phone was blowing up, my boss for no damn reason, family drama. I was like, I can't talk I'm in the middle of something. They have no fucking clue or common courtesy, they keep blabbing, I'm like, I'm baking atm, I can't talk! They're like wtf, you can't talk while baking? I go, hell no, this shit is getting crazy right now! They're like omg wtf are you baking? I was all never mind, you wouldn't understand, I can talk for a minute, but I'm really busy and really distracted atm so don't fing judge me if I wander off! KEK

gnight fren, it's a lot to learn. We had no baking class when I decided to start learning. Just lurked like a mofo and took notes, stole a lot of ideas from watching bakers. I used to go thru every single bred, before and after work. Got a notebook. Practiced grabbing Q posts and caps, assisting bakers. Learned so much that way. But the tools/class make it a lot better for new bakers. I started out taking notes, even when bakers were baking. The hardest part for me, was learning how to keep up with the speed of the breds. So if you can practice taking notes and get comfortable with that, it will help a lot. Plus, you can give bakers breaks by taking notes for them, once you feel comfortable doing it. Next thing you know, you'll be baking those notes yourself.
