==WELCOME TO CLASS! LET'S START N TAKE IT NICE N SLOWLY=

Welcome to class and thanks for coming everyone, oldfags and new.

This evenings class will be dedicated to every baker's favorite subject, Notables Posts.

kek

If you'd like to try baking, which we covered last week, we can help you there as well.

The Step by Step instructions are right at the top of the dough, so you can go through the slides and / or videos, follow the steps, bake a practice thread and let us know if you're stuck or need any help.

Questions as always are welcome and there are no stupid questions here.

Bakers, thank you for coming as always, and for sharing your awesome wealth of knowledge and experience.

We can take it easy tonight and enjoy the -RALLY- and I'll post the class materials with plenty of space in between.

-BAKERS-

This is a new set of materials based on the previous baking graphics and with the points we've all brought up in previous classes. Please feedback and disagree with anything, we can take it out after, or add any other points brought up tonight.

NOTABLES OVERVIEW & CONSIDERATIONS AS A BAKER

What and For Who Do We Collect Notables For?

  • Think of anons who have missed some threads. They look to the notables for a quick update of what's been happening, discovered and uncovered

  • Think of anons who aren't on QResearch but check wearethe.news for dig info and things to spread on SM

  • Think of anons in the future who will search for research and info

With that in mind, use your own discretion and think quality.

We are the news now. Be Best.

Listing Your Notables

  • List notables in reverse order with the latest at the top, or the other way around

  • Delete the bottom notables as you add a new batch in your dough, adding the notables bun link to the 'Previously Collected Notables' section before you do

On Changing / Removing Notables

  • Be on alert for if an anon requests a notable be removed

  • Unless something is proven false it's generally not done, nor do we change another bakers notables

  • Offer to add a sourced counter argument in your batch instead, adding a ref to the previous post if you like

Anything to add here, bakers?

NOTABLES OVERVIEW & CONSIDERATIONS AS A BAKER

Self Nominators

  • Be on alert for anons nominating their own notables, it's usually ignored by the baker

  • Also be on alert for a 'one post anon' nominating a notable. It's probably the same anon

Impartiality

  • Bakers, like genuine anons are impartial looking only for the truth

  • Our opinions don't matter while baking as we're baking for anons, collating their research

Post Notables Updates

  • Throughout the thread, post the notables you've collected up to that point

  • You can also ask if any have been missed and / or ask anons to call out posts for consideration

  • Feel free to use your own style

Anything to add here, bakers?

That was Eufag, she ran it for a long time I think until she left around a year ago.

The wr text in the dough stayed the same for many, many months.

This was the QR warroom though, not some other chan's warroom.

This is the difference, and the hassle now.

Agree with you. I think all anons are aware of what's going on and that it's an outside chan.

Don't think anyone would mind.

If any hassle tell them we've had it with their abuse of bakers and anons.

Doesn't stop them posting their orders in-thread.

TYPES OF POSSIBLE NOTABLES

Types of possible notables include -

  • Notable theories on Q posts

  • Digs on Q posts and relevant to Q posts

  • Relevant news

  • Videos and clips

  • Side-by-side graphics

  • Q Proofs

  • Q Deltas

  • Relevant and informative graphics

  • Updates to resources (Spreadsheet, Meme Library etc. - Use your discretion)

  • Announcements by BO & updates from CodeMonkey

These are general guidelines and not set in stone; you can use your own discretion.

Noting Videos

  • As bakers, some videos can be difficult to decide upon as we've no time to check the content

  • In these cases you could either check the content or leave it out

  • Exceptions to this could be clips from livestreams of protest or events

  • Again, use your own discretion when noting videos

Their agenda? Is to work for the cause, get an army together to do ops, fair enough. Their cause is legit. It's how they go about it that's not.

Haven't visited recently but visited them on Endchan and Freenode and they're planning ops and Gerbil directs.

WHAT MAKES A PERFECT NOTABLE?

The perfect notable has -

  • A headline; descriptive, clear & intriguing without being misleading

  • A synopsis / summary of what it's about

  • An content excerpt if it's an article

  • A link / links to good quality sauce (source)

  • A graphic / graphics if relevant

  • Keep in mind anons who will search in the future on qresear.ch and the keywords they'll search by

  • Try to give anons all relevant info in the post and not have to go off-board get it

  • Keep in mind that 'We Are The News Now' and do your best

HOW TO LOG NOTABLES IN YOUR DOUGH

You can list your notables in ascending or descending order, whatever you prefer.

Here's a short video on a quick way to copy and paste notables.

When you click 'reply' on the post you want to note, then copy, you get the >included in your copy.

This saves you time.

6. -

WHEN TO POST NOTABLES UPDATES IN-THREAD

Bakers all differ as to when they post notables updates -

  • Some do 200, 400, 600 then the notables bun

  • Some do 400, 500, 600 then the notables bun

  • Some do 250, 500 then the notables bun

Most do it differently each thread, and also do it differently depending on the speed of the bread or if Q's posting

So really, it's up to you. Timing comes through practice.

Considerations

  • Posting notables collected earlyish goes a long way to assuring anons that the kitchen is in good hands and the baker is on it

  • Posting regularly also relaxes anons when they know their post is noted and saves multiple call outs

Anything to add here, bakers?

LAST POST BEFORE QUESTIONS

WHAT'S A NOTABLES BUN AND HOW TO MAKE ONE

What's A 'Notables Bun'?

  • A notables bun is made by the baker in every thread

  • It's a post made at the end of the thread including all the notables you've collected

  • It's usually posted as your last post before you post / create the next thread

  • You want the bun link to be in your anonbin/pastebin dough, so do it before you do that

How To Make A Notables Bun -

  • Just before you post the next thread, post all the notes you've collected

  • It's useful for others if you include the thread number

  • Copy the post number and enter it at the bottom of your notables batch, in your dough

  • This serves as a link to that post for anons wanting to catch up later

  • The link (post number) will also be entered later into the 'Previously Collected Notables' section, again for anons wishing to catch up

Notes On Buns -

  • In a time-push you can make the notables bun in your next thread

  • If you need/want to amend your previous thread's bun, re-post it in the current thread

  • If doing the above, include 'Posted in #โ€”- (current thread number)

  • If there's not a notables bun present for any notes batch, post the bun as above and add the link

Anything to add here, folks?

teach ID: b36561 Sept. 3, 2020, 6:47 p.m. No.24391   ๐Ÿ—„๏ธ.is ๐Ÿ”—kun   >>4395 >>4396 >>4398

>>24386

Idea -

How we worked the GMT change.

Plenty warning, adding a note on the war room area of the dough saying what's happening and laying out some boundaries. Tell em if the abuse, disruption, namefagging and ganging up doesn't stop, they'll lose their section. Add keywords like Endchan, Freenode, Siphoning etc.

Then if it gets pulled everyone knows the history and story.

Whatcha think?

Everyone does that differently. It's become common to tag the dough in your notes when there's been a baker change.

I've seen a move towards tagging the dough recently, and including the bread number, so anons can find the notes easily and bakers can check to see someone's baking.

Is that what you meant?

>One possible idea: to briefly discuss how important it is to pay attention to anon feedback

Good point, we can do that. We could maybe mix that discussion with Q bakes next week because there's less material for it. We can talk about both.

FFy, that was me posting. He took my notes when I was baking, made a new thread before I was ready to bake, then ghosted it.

So he hijacked my loaf. There were 3 or 4 generals baked and we were all trying to get it merged, and FFy genius baked another. And so, it's not a shill. I didn't attack, when I saw him I asked why he did that and that it caused a lot of more trouble. He said "You sound faggot". That was his reply, so fuck him. I'll keep going until he learns.

Same goes for 88. You don't disappear at baking time 3 times in 6 weeks and not expect to get flack.

I was itching to do what OSS did myself when I saw his notes. He'll either take the feedback or not, but he knows now that doing that is not on. What didn't help was that he denied ghosting 3 times, then admitted it. I'm with OSS on this one.

Yes definitely. I've said before to you and I mean it. It's a busy, busy shift but you'll soon get up to speed. I'm doing it every night and it's too much. In previous years there were 2 or 3 of us covering that shift so we could all get a rest.

If you were up for it, what we could do is I could be there to back you up, drop notes for easy copy paste (only if you wanted them - I don't mind and we're all different when it comes to chosing), and just be there as your shadow if you need anything, I'll be discreet and just post them anon and check for baking posts at baking time.

If there's anything else you'd like help with, let me know. This way you can get used to baking on that shift, get your confidence up and timing etc, because it's fast, and in a few weeks you'll have gained the confindence to do it on your own. A lot of our regular bakers hangout on that shift, so you've got plenty backup all the time on it. It's an epic shift to bake and there's no words to describe how great the anons are.

Let me know here what you think, I'll check back.

Sounds great, baker.

> I tried it that way for weeks and hated it.

I would say yo just be yourself.

Personally when I'm baking I don't communicate much if ever, I simply bake for the anons. I comm through memes mostly when baking.

That said, when we talk of comms, we mean if anons have queries or gripes, if you think they're genuine, address them. Giving reasons why you're not noting something is useful as well.

Don't feel you have to reply to anyone. There would be no time to bake if we replied to all the posts we get. If it's a genuine question, answer it.

Just be yourself.

>time

Any time you want. When you want to bake and you see me baking, just shout.

>missing things

It gets easier through practice. If it's important anons will shout it out.

>fear

The only way you're going to overcome that is through baking and experience. Acknowledge it, stare it in the face and walk on past it. It'll still be there but try to ignore it by concentrating on doing the best job you can, for yourself, no one else.

>Help

I'll help when I see fit. Ok.

>Peer pressure

We all know how hard it is when starting and everyone will be rootin' for you and sending you good memes, words and vibes. Relax and enjoy it.

Take it down to the basics. What do you have to do? In order of priority -

  • Make sure a new thread is ready on time

  • Log Q posts

  • Gather notables

In that order. Anything else is bells and whistles and can be adjusted later. Just keep focusing on doing those 3 things for a start.

You can easily do those 3 things. Easily.

You've been doing amazingly when I've seen you baking, no-one would think that you're just starting. Honestly.

You' have skills. You have training. You've got a lot of knowledge. Share those talents with the board now, for the op, for humanity, for God and Country.

>The guidance you afforded me last night was perfect

Good to hear that. It was a good night.

With digs, for room in the buns, I like to group them if there's more than 2.

If a few are stunning and big finds, I add them on their own with their own description, but add them in the lines next to the other relevant digs.

Sometimes there's no time, but if there is I put them in post order horizonally.

>Share those talents with the board now

What I meant by that was that you've been hard at work in baker training and have all the skills now. Now you just need to take them and practice them in live baking.

>Been worried about what to address on the board

When baking it's best to just concentrate on baking, b/c that's enough if you're going to do it well. Digz n things I post when I'm not baking. Whatever you share or don't share, you have to keep yourself safe.

>WOW thank you for last night!

YW. It's good to see you learning and enjoying it. Keep going. And please. Bake dead on 650 on the evening shift. When it's 650 I hit post. That gives me time if something goes wrong, captcha or anything, and plenty time to choose or adjust my memes, and to make the FB post.

Getting disconnected is stressy, but I hope you've got your phone wifi set up now. I do that as well as a constant redunancy. The hotspot is set up and whenever I turn it on on my phone my pc picks it up. It's easy to switch then.

Just don't post big memes as that takes your data away.

Hope that helps. KEEP GOING.

Catch ya, baker
