Hey anon, good to see you. Thanks for coming. There's no backdoor verification, bakers use pastebins or anonbin which shows they've baked before. If anons don't have that a baker will stay around for a bread with them. Das it.

For your ideas, I;d say put them out in the general and see if anons would like to see that.

Sure thing. Thought anons might wonder how and why the baking class was started, so here goes.

 

Why The Baking Class Started

The baking class started 35 weeks ago through a ponder of why we had so few bakers, were thin on coverage and why we had no new bakers stepping up.

 

This baker wondered if the instruction grahics we had were enough for new bakers to learn by, having made them with anons and bakers in the general a long time ago. Baking had changed a lot since then.

 

The idea came to try a live class, a step by step to see if that would help.

Having baked since 4chan with very little breaks I wanted a break, at least someone to relieve me half of the nights a week.

 

Figured if I could spend time sharing and passing on what I knew, ne bakers might step up and relieve.

 

The results of now 35 weeks of class are that we've had old and new bakers coming through, oldfags baking again, anons who run resources, anons dropping in to say hi and hundreds of invaluable things learned from each other.

All in all the contributers are 98% of all of the QR bakers, a group of around 20 bakers and not takers old and new.

Why The Baking Class Started (cont.)

New materials have been produced for anons to learn by and between us all we've collated the library of resources in the class dough here. Anyone looking to learn can drop in any time and go through them on their own. There is absolutely no need to 'come to class' in order to bake.

 

Most of the bakers who bake on QR drop in every week or when they can. They join in the topic discussion, give their input on the Qs we all have and it's always a very civil, professional working environment.

 

To those who say it's a 'control' thing I strongly disagree with. New bakers have been baking for around 6 months regularly who have never been to class. I happily hand off to them, very happy to see anons stepping up to help.

 

To anyone who believes there's any kind of 'control' going on here, I invite you to look through the past class threads, all numbered and found in the catalog here.

 

The recent practice bakes anons have made while learning to bake can also be seen in the catalog here.

 

I hope this gives anyone who was wondering, knowledge about how the class here started and what goes on at it. Any questions you have, please fire away. I'm more than happy to answer.

The saddest thing to me is that the aggregator sites such as the one you run has stopped collecting.

When it was down the other week the generals were full of anons asking for it back, so it's obvioulsy a well used resource. As some said, when workfagging it's how they catch up.

That the research gets into the search engines through it is also invaluable.

 

Hopefully an answer can be found and we can get up and running again. As it is anon's research is being seriously diluted.

Thanks. Think the most important thing to focus on, for the GA is to get wearethene.ws back running again. Guess speaking to the bakers who are baking now would be the best way forward in achieving that. It's possible that they don't know how important it is in getting anon's research out to the world and others who will spread it further.

Sorry to hear about the twitter sitch. Patriots and anons taking the notables and spreading it mitigates your own acct being SB'd a bit I suppose. Still sucks though. We fight on.

Comms has been the bakers board since 2018. It's linked from every thread on QR. Threads are open for all to see and post in. Take a look at the catalog. Nothing's hidden.

It's where new bakers can practice baking, you can see the practice breads in the catalog, and where the bakers Meta is. You can find that pinned in the catalog as well.

Yes. It was an effort to make every baker appear a criminal through unfound accusations and ultimately to stop us all baking. Which has been successful. Only the 2 bakers who took over are allowing themselves to bake at the moment.

Hence the really bad dough, notables and globals.

Understand doc. I see you offering anyone to bake all through your shifts. No-one does, or very few.

Same here, I offer and offer and some do, not often, they are you, Frebe or Be. I said to OSS previously as well, that any time he wanted to bake to hit me up. He did and I always said yes.

So what can we do? Just keep on doing what we do, covering the hours we do and offering the kitch to anyone who wants to bake.

Helping those who are new and want some help as well, as we do.

Anyway, that was before and this is now. Let's make the most of our holiday and see what evolves.
