This planning is taking place in public because it has to be. The Prime Minister of the East Turkistan Government in Exile Salih Hudayar urged Americans to make the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics the least watched in history during an interview with Breitbart News on Monday as a sign that regular people care and are appalled by genocide.

The East Turkistan Government in Exile represents the people of that region, which the Chinese Communist Party currently occupies and refers to as the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR). The people of East Turkistan – where the majority of China’s Uyghur ethnic minority resides, as well as members of other Central Asian ethnic groups distinct from the Han majority that governs Beijing – have faced decades of gruesome human rights abuses under the Communist Party, from reports of using political prisoners to harvest live organs to the systemic elimination of Islam, Uyghur language, and historic sites like mosques and cemeteries throughout East Turkistan.

The Uyghur community has been among the most vocal calling for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to relocate the 2022 Beijing Olympics on the grounds that multiple governments, including the United States, have deemed China guilty of an ongoing genocide. Hudayar, speaking to Breitbart News, lamented that the IOC had “ignored” his organization’s requests to reconsider honoring China with hosting duties, foreign governments had disregarded calls for a true boycott of the Games, and athletes are proceeding with competing in the Olympics with no significant recognition of the crimes their presence is endorsing.

Having exhausted all those options, the East Turkistan Government in Exile is now appealing directly to sports fans, urging them to boycott the Games to send a message that allowing a genocidal tyranny to receive one of the highest honors in athletics is unacceptable.

A successful viewer boycott, Hudayar told Breitbart News, will show “that people, average people, are concerned and they care about the ongoing genocide of Uyghurs, unlike what Chamath Palihapitiya and others, the elites like him, state, that ‘we don’t care’ or ‘nobody cares.'”

Palihapitiya, a billionaire part-owner of the Golden State Warriors, dismissively said in a podcast interview in January that “nobody cares” about the Uyghur genocide and that for him, personally, the use of over 1,200 concentration camps to erase Uyghur identity in East Turkistan was “below my line” of caring. In contrast, Palihapitiya listed “climate change” and “healthcare infrastructure” as issues worthy of more attention.

A boycott, Hudayar contended, that makes the Beijing Olympics the least watched in history will “show that people care and this will ultimately pressure governments to hopefully engage in stronger actions, more meaningful actions – tangible things that will actually benefit the people on the ground in East Turkistan.”

Hudayar noted that, the last time China hosted an Olympics ceremony, in 2008, the event preceded the ongoing genocide.

“We were deeply discouraged to see that China was even awarded the opportunity to host these Olympics despite the fact that it is carrying out an ongoing genocide,” Hudayar noted. “The last time China hosted the Summer Olympics, in 2008, it promised that it would make improvements in human rights and so forth – and none of those promises have been met. In fact, things have gotten much worse.”

“We encouraged governments to engage in a full boycott. Not just a diplomatic boycott – but a full boycott to where they don’t send anyone, including athletes. I know athletes have been training for this for years, but we are in a time of history that if we attend the Olympics, if any athletes attend the Olympics, they have ultimately chosen a side,” Hudayar said. “We tried reaching out to athletes across the world, especially even the U.S. Olympic team, and they ignored us. Governments, unfortunately, some governments implemented a small, weak diplomatic boycott while many governments completely ignored the issue.”

President Joe Biden’s administration announced the first major “diplomatic boycott” of the Olympics in December. A diplomatic boycott is not a boycott, as diplomats do not compete in Olympics sports. Even this half-measure, however, dissipated less than a month later when the State Department admitted it had applied for multiple visas to send diplomats to the Games.

The only country in the world that has announced a boycott of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics at press time is North Korea, whose officials claimed not attending the Games in China was somehow a protest of the United States. The IOC banned North Korea from the Olympics last year, anyway, rendering the attempted protest moot.

Hudayar drew parallels between the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the 1936 Games held in Berlin on the eve of the Holocaust.

“The Nazis used the Olympics as propaganda to show off [their] ‘national prestige’ and then, shortly afterwards, the Nazis started to implement the Holocaust,” Hudayar noted, citing Nobel laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel: “We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere.”

The Chinese Communist Party has recently declared that it would allow U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet to visit East Turkistan, but only after the Olympics and under the surveillance of Beijing. Hudayar noted that the Nazi Germany government did something similar with the International Red Cross.

“The Chinese government has invited, or is going to allow, the U.N. human rights chief Michelle Bachelet to visit East Turkistan on the basis that it’s not an investigation. Only after the Olympics, though – that’ll only happen after the Olympics,” Hudayar noted. “If there’s not going to be an investigation – and when I say investigation I mean an unrestricted, uncensored investigation on the ground – if she doesn’t carry that out, then it’s going to be like the International Red Cross visiting Theresienstadt. How the Nazis took down all the wires and everything and made it look like it was some type of vocational training facility … this was in 1944.”

As the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum explains:

Succumbing to pressure following the deportation of Danish Jews to Theresienstadt, the Germans permitted representatives from the Danish Red Cross and the International Red Cross to visit in June 1944. It was all an elaborate hoax. The Germans intensified deportations from the ghetto shortly before the visit, and the ghetto itself was “beautified.” Gardens were planted, houses painted, and barracks renovated. The Nazis staged social and cultural events for the visiting dignitaries. Once the visit was over, the Germans resumed deportations from Theresienstadt, which did not end until October 1944.

Hudayar noted that the opening of the Beijing Olympics will come one day before the 25th anniversary of one of the bloodiest recent episodes in East Turkistan, the massacre of peaceful protesters in northwest Ghulja in 1997.

While verifying the true death toll in a communist country is impossible, scholars estimate that thousands took the streets for peaceful protest against communist, about 1,600 were arrested, and hundreds killed.

“This is a cycle that keeps happening in East Turkistan,” Hudayar explained. “Every time that our people try to peacefully protest, we keep getting gunned down by the Chinese government. And so with this happening at the same time right after the opening of the Olympics, we hope that we can highlight this event and commemorate it by, again, boycotting the Olympics, by urging governments to undertake stronger actions.”

Quebec Premier François Legault has scrapped his proposed tax on the unvaccinated, sources tell CBC and Radio-Canada.

As first reported by La Presse, the premier is set to make the announcement at a press conference this afternoon, at 1 p.m.

The tax, which was announced in January by the premier, would have imposed a monetary penalty on Quebecers who did not get their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Unvaccinated Quebecers will have to pay a health tax, Legault says

Details of the tax had remained vague, with Legault saying it could be included in provincial tax filings. He had said he wanted the cost to be "significant," suggesting it would be more than $100. Roughly 10 per cent of eligible Quebecers remain unvaccinated.

"These people, they put a very important burden on our health-care network," Legault said at the time. "I think it's reasonable a majority of the population is asking that there be consequences."

Legault proposes tax on unvaccinated as public health director resigns

A day after the resignation of Quebec’s public health director, Dr. Horacio Arruda, Premier Francois Legault proposed a new tax on people not vaccinated against COVID-19, though he didn’t announce a timeline or amount of the tax. 1:59

Community advocates, bio-ethicists and other experts raised concerns about the proposal, saying that more education was needed, instead of punitive measures. Others questioned the legal ramifications, saying the proposed tax could run afoul of the Canada Health Act.

The measure was announced immediately after Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province's outgoing director of public health, handed in his letter of resignation.

Opposition parties accused Legault Tuesday of only floating the idea of the tax in order to distract from Arruda's departure.

Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, leader of the Parti Québécois, accused the premier of "playing poker" with Quebecers and putting a strain on social cohesion in the province.

"We have a premier who takes his population for fools," said Plamondon.

"I was going to say, 'a premier who treats his population like children,' but I treat my children with more respect for their intelligence and with more transparency than the premier is doing right now with the Quebec population."

Both Anglade and Plamondon also accused Legault and the CAQ of making decisions based on polling instead of science, noting that it is an election year. Quebecers will head to the polls to elect their provincial representatives this coming fall.

Biden Regime RESCINDS Deportation of Illegal Alien Who Killed 19-Year-Old Girl in New Program to Reduce Removals

In November 2020, 19-year-old Adrienne Sophia was ejected from her car and killed when by a drunk driver in Houston. Heriberto Fuerte-Padilla, an illegal alien, was driving drunk when he killed Adrienne Sophia at 1:30 PM in the afternoon.

ABC13 reported on Sophia’s death:

Sgt. Aric Albers with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, who issued an update to reporters from the scene of the crash, said that’s when Exum was hit by a driver in a Dodge pickup truck. That driver was later identified as Heriberto Fuerte-Padilla.

“[She was] ejected out of the vehicle into the roadway,” he said. “Her head struck the roadway and she sustained a significant injury where she ended up dying on the scene.”

Albers said the man who was with Exum was not injured in the crash. The two men involved in the altercation were detained.

Meanwhile, Gonzalez said Padilla tried to get away after the crash before deputies arrived. Albers said he was found a few hundred yards away and was detained by an off-duty officer in the area.

Padilla was found to be intoxicated, according to Albers, and has since been charged with DWI and failure to render aid.

As the Moscow government has reiterated on many occasions, the West is pursueing an anti-Russian campaign and accuses it of making alleged preparations to attack Ukraine, while the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is trying to increase its military activities in the area.

The day before, the Russian representation to the multilateral body once again reiterated these concerns before the UN Security Council at a meeting convened by the United States.

According to Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasili Nebenzia, Washington is trying to mislead the world community about the real situation in Ukraine.

The Russian diplomat criticized the interference in the internal affairs of his country and rejected the statement of the US delegation, which considered the deployment of Russian troops on the border as a threat to international peace.

Nebenzia emphasized Washington’s desire to stoke hysteria over its accusations of an imminent alleged aggression by Moscow against Ukraine: “There is no threat, aggression or invasion planned. There has been no talk from any high-ranking Russian officials, quite the contrary, they have been categorically rejected,” he stressed.

For her part, the UN Under-Secretary General for Political Affairs and Peacebuilding, Rosemary DiCarlo, bet on the diplomatic way to deal with the growing tensions around Ukraine and reiterated the support of the multilateral organization to negotiations.

Recently, Washington and Moscow held talks after tensions over Ukraine escalated as the West accuses Russia of an alleged build-up of its troops on the border in arrangements for a possible invasion.

During those talks, Russia defended the right to move its forces within its own territory and warned of increased NATO military activities in the area.

DeSantis Demands Reinstatement of Trump Border Policies to Lift Block on Facilities Accepting Biden’s Migrant Children

The office of Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis last week issued a blistering critique of President Joe Biden’s administration’s efforts to hamper the implementation of a rule the governor released in December to block resettlement of unaccompanied migrant children in state-licensed facilities in the Sunshine State.

This latest push represents a further escalation between the Florida governor and the White House over Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC).

DeSantis’s general counsel Ryan Newman wrote in a letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) officials in Biden’s administration:

It is critical that lines of responsibility and accountability are clearly drawn. So long as the Biden administration continues its irresponsible immigration policies, Florida no longer wishes to be involved in the Federal Government’s UAC resettlement program. DCF’s change of policy makes clear that the Federal Government, not the State of Florida, is solely responsible for the care and safety of the UAC that it has chosen to bring into the country.

Newman’s three-page Jan. 26 letter, sent to the deputy General Counsel of HHS, Mark Greenberg, in the Biden administration, was obtained exclusively by Breitbart News ahead of its public release. In the missive, the top DeSantis attorney warns the Biden administration that state-licensed Department of Children and Families (DCF) facilities will lose their licenses if they accept Biden’s migrant children being transported to the state—and that the state of Florida will only reconsider this stance if Biden reinstates former President Donald Trump’s highly effective Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) and Remain-in-Mexico agreements—or something very much like those—that had largely stemmed the flow of migrants into the country. Newman wrote:

Under the emergency order, DCF has no obligation to enter into any cooperative agreement with the Federal Government and it does not intend to do so unless the Federal Government restores the immigration enforcement policies of the prior administration or implements similar such policies. Faithful enforcement of federal immigration law to secure the border, deter illegal immigration, and prevent the surge of illegal aliens at the border, including UAC, is a baseline prerequisite to any future cooperative agreement involving the resettlement of UAC in Florida.

What’s more, even after those policies are reinstated and Biden’s damaging open borders edicts are reversed, DeSantis’s general counsel wrote that the state of Florida would not reopen a new prospective future agreement with the federal government unless several other parameters are met on this front:

In any event, any such future cooperative agreement would need to include, at a minimum, advance notice when UAC are transported into Florida, verification that the UAC are under the age of 18 and do not have a criminal history or affiliation with criminal gangs, and an opportunity for the state to object if the number of UAC transported to Florida becomes excessive as compared to other states.
