Really BAD NEWS FOR THE WORLD! Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is dead. He was assassinated. His killer was captured and will hopefully be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Few people know what a great man and leader Shinzo Abe was, but history will teach them and be kind. He was a unifier like no other, but above all, he was a man who loved and cherished his magnificent country, Japan. Shinzo Abe will be greatly missed. There will never be another like him! The evening back in 2019, when Shinzo introduced me to some incredible Japanese Sake — in Tokyo. Won’t ever forget it. That was after 45 had me join them for a cheeseburger, after they played a round of golf together.
Shinzo and his team were always wonderful people to work with…from a golf course in America, to Japan — and all of the meetings and dinners in-between (G7’s, G20’s, etc)…
I am thinking of his team tonight — and what they are all going through. I can’t even imagine, it’s heartbreaking. Shinzo was a great leader, and someone who made you feel as if you knew each other for the past 50 years…he was a lot of fun to be with publicly — and behind the scenes. He will be missed…
