well..... about that.....

bugs ARE very high in protein content. many cultures around the world have been eating bugs since time immemorial. and considering that there are approximately TWO TONS of termites for every living man woman and child, that's JUST TERMITES, it's an inexhaustible and environmentally benign source of protein.

they just need to process it into a less gross looking form. it's actually a really good idea. before you get all "i ain't never gonna eat no bug" macho shit, tell us, have you ever eaten lobster? or shrimp? or crab? 'cause if you have, you've already eaten bugs. 'cause those ARE bugs. large, underwater bugs, but STILL BUGS.

just sayin'......

don't want to start a slide. just trying to give perspective. also, bugs don't have to be people food. we could use them as livestock feed and eliminate some of the actual issues that arise from feeding ground up cow brains to cows (KJ), for example. it's an untapped and limitless resource.

another thing to consider...

MAYBE they're trying to use reverse psychology, suggest the people eat bugs, get people grossed out about eating bugs, and then people will reject beef that comes from cows fed a diet that includes bugs.

the reason "they" are always three steps ahead is because too few people think beyond the immediate. try thinking 5 steps ahead.
