4ch/pol/ is the only imageboard that matters.
Size, scope, tradition, diggs, and insider drops...
It's still the champ and will remain so until if/when it ever goes away.
8ch/8kun only mattered for a brief blip in time because of Q.
No Q = No other imageboard outside of half really amounts to much.
It certainly doesn't hurt for those reasons.
But, 4ch has long had a well used archive and everyone caps everything there.
So, it's not a show stopper if 8kun, bunkerchan, or even the new kid frenchan turn into ghost towns.
4ch is the one they'll never kill because the thought of all the autists there being unleashed full time on the rest of the internet truly scares the powers that be.
Better to have a containment board they can demonize than risk that alternative.
Everyone focuses on the anonymity part of image boards.
That's really only the smaller concern for the population at large.
Freedom from censorship was the main drawing power of the imageboards.
And if Truth Social truly lives up to their promised standards in regards to that then it will be a yuge success.
Those concerned with staying anonymous will still have options to do so.
But, in terms of large numbers of eyeballs seeing diggs, the SM model is the one that blows away the backwater imageboard one when it comes to that.
Your #3 is why I think the promise of what TS will be is way moar important in the Great Awakening efforts.
The imageboard is too limited in terms of large scale societal influence.
They can still be useful in the whistleblower digg sense, so I'm not saying they can't play a key role.
It's just they're a terrible dissemination medium.
At this stage in the Q timeline there are significantly moar Q followers on SM than there are left on QR.
So, in terms of (former) anons pointing they kinda already have.
Which is why @Q on TS finally admitting they really are the new mouthpiece for Q Team is the most likely habbening when the time is right.
Digg brainstorming is better on the imageboards for sure.
Final product dissemination to the public is better on SM.
Ideally a hybrid of the 2 could work.
