I thought that rodent constantly IP hops? Or is the IP hash tied to the cookies or something? Is that how you guys have managed to keep the shills out?

Yup. I'm aware of that. I'm on one myself. I'm trying to understand how does the IP hash works on this site. Not a codefag here and I'd consider myself to still be an amateur techfag.
My thinking was that the IP hash is tied to cookies the same way the (You)'s are tied to it. So even though if I jump on a different server on my VPN, I'd still get the (You)'s. I was applying the same concept to the IP hash. Clearly I'm wrong bout that.
So I'm trying to understand how do you know for a fact that an IP hash is tied to said user.
