As far as "Game Comms" are concerned.

I remember many odd instances of groups of people or individuals that would attempt various forms of communication.

So the idea of Platform utilization for comms further back than simply Star Wars Battlefront 2 is absolutely plausible.

What better comms than Voice Comms on platforms that do not record such data?
