There was some last-minute drama, as well. Schumer went to the floor and harshly criticized Republicans for provoking the crisis. Schumer won this round of his never-ending battle with McConnell, and he made sure everyone knew it. But Republicans — and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) — didn’t like the tone of Schumer’s remarks. Senate Minority Whip John Thune complained personally to Schumer on the floor, while Sens. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) and Mitt Romney (R-Utah) complained to reporters.

Manchin told Schumer the speech was “f***ing stupid,” according to four sources. Then Manchin complained to reporters too. The incident doesn’t really signify anything, except to show how tense everyone is in the Senate these days. And it’s only going to get worse.

oh i c, well i think thas a dif view and if you get to that level you prolly know the right move, to quit or not to quit

i've heard good arguments for both decisions but i also realized each decision comes from specific points of views which means it could be right for some and not right for others

example: if i'm in a position to witness swamp moves, should i quit?

if i'm being drug into biden's afganistan decisions and feel like i'm being set up, should i quit?

re resignations will swamp creatures ever make the right move?

do weak ppl make the right move (under pressure)?

should we have weak ppl or swamp in those positions?

will a strong wise person know if they should quit or not?

i think ppl in those positions have the best view on how to handle

from there their character will handle it and reveal if they are swamp, weak, or strong/wise
