Elon Musk, best known for Tesla, SpaceX, or singing about an ape that was killed, has now stepped up and is calling out the United Nations over reports that members of their organization were forcing children to perform sexual actions on them.
Musk also is calling for the group to openly account for the funding they receive.
Musk, who is the first person to have his net worth exceed $300 billion, is now asking the Executive Director for the United Nations World Food Programme, David Beasley, to answer questions about sexual abuse at the behest of his employees.
Musk cites reports on social media that are claiming that the organization’s employees are forcing children to perform sexual acts with them.
But this was only the tip of the iceberg.
Musk has thrown some of his fortunes behind it.
he plans on donating $6 billion to help fight world hunger…but with a catch.
According to Musk, even if the allegations are addressed properly, Beasley and the organization must show the public how the money is received…and spent.
Beasley responded to the allegations and promise of money to Musk on Twitter:
“$6B will not solve world hunger, but it WILL prevent geopolitical instability, mass migration and save 42 million people on the brink of starvation. An unprecedented crisis and a perfect storm due to Covid/conflict/climate crises.”
According to the Express, there was an investigation that found French peacekeepers from the United Nations had failed to safeguard children from sexual exploitation. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, after reviewing the memo, stated: “[He expressed] profound regret that these children were betrayed by the very people sent to protect them.”
