It is not surprising to find out that immoralist Bill Maher is a frequent member of an elitist sex club. There is little to no information about the ages or background of their hired staff, nor has there been any investigation relating to the lifestyle or working conditions for the girls. To hear that an elite liberal media pundit is the member of an anonymous sex club that has large dues as well as extremely influential members does not surprise me. Those at the top have made it clear that sex is important and the more of it the better. The owner of New York’s most exclusive sex club — which has hosted Gwyneth Paltrow and Bill Maher, among others — has sold the business and is writing a tell-all about his experiences at the wild erotic club.

Damon Lawner, the founder of Snctm, which sells memberships for up to $425,000 a year and hosts erotic parties for the 1 Percent at some of New York’s most luxurious hotels, says he’s sold the club to a group called the Circle, and that he’s now free to spill the beans on the club in what he’s calling a “tell-all.”

Lawner told us, “I am going to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth — as much as my lawyer and editor will allow me to say in print. It’s going to be an exciting read.”

Lawner, who started the club in LA in 2013, told us the titillating tome will also tell “how Snctm came into existence, and everything I saw and experienced in my six-year journey.” He said he’s already about ²/₃ of the way through writing the book.

And he said that a “few of my members who are Hollywood elite have asked for the book as soon as it’s completed” — not, surprisingly, to make sure their kinky secrets aren’t about to be exposed, but “to option it into a script/feature film.”

In his farewell note to members, Lawner said that he has “passed the golden ring to a gentleman I am contented to call its new owner,” and that the new chief has a “passion that reminds me of my own.”

He said of the new ownership: “Under their guidance, I can see Snctm becoming a true global brand,” with plans for “expansion into Paris, London and who knows where else.”

Meanwhile, Lawner said he plans to launch the (non-sex-based) Bali Music Festival.

The Snctm parties — where guests pay up to $2,000 to attend and openly have sex in front of other guests — began in Beverly Hills, Calif., and events have been held in New York and the Hamptons.

The Circle declined to comment.

Snctm is an American nightclub and sex club based in Beverly Hills, California.[1] It was founded by Damon Lawner.[2][3][4][5] It has been called the world's most exclusive sex club. Male attendees are required to wear tuxedos and female attendees wear lingerie or cocktail dresses and only allowed to attend by submitting head shots for approval.[6][7]

Snctm has hosted private sex parties in Kiev, Miami, the Hamptons, and Moscow. Snctm's sex parties in the United States have been attended by such celebrities as comedian Bill Maher and actor Gwyneth Paltrow.[8]

The club was the subject of the Showtime unscripted docuseries Naked SNCTM.[9]

The parties are the brainchild of Damon Lawner, a divorced 45-year-old with two young kids. Lawner founded Snctm in February 2013 after spending years throwing high-end, but not erotic, events in Bali. He now hosts sex parties full-time. Blood Oath

Dominus members sign a “blood oath,” involving blood and a paper document, to join — but Lawner won’t go into details.

“That’s all I can tell you,” he says. “It’s an initiation into the society.”

Cellphones are prohibited and must be checked at the door. All parties have a masquerade theme, and while masks are required for entry, many take them off inside. Men wear tuxes, women wear sexy lingerie or cocktail dresses.

As exclusive as the parties are, the vibe is friendly and there’s no Hollywood pretense. Attendees are open and eager to talk, flirt — and much more — with each other.

“I feel like I’m home here,” a young pilot wearing an Aurum-member pin on his left lapel tells me as we hang out around a small lap pool with two huge unicorn floaties in the back yard. “Warmth just kind of comes over me when I walk in.”

I brush by a towering beauty in a black-lace catsuit.

“Is that Agent Provocateur, too?” she says, eyeing the bondage-inspired, Swarovski-crystal-encrusted bra hidden beneath my sheer black cape. “I tried that one on. It looks amazing on you.”

Provocateur is something of an unofficial partner for the erotic events. Last September, Snctm held a top-secret party in New York during Fashion Week. Attendees picked up brass keys with the soiree’s address engraved on them at the high-end lingerie company’s stores in Soho and on Madison Avenue.

Lawner is working to take Snctm beyond Beverly Hills. He plans to host a party on a yacht at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and do two events in New York in September for Fashion Week.

He also says he’s in talks with Showtime to do an eight-part documentary, and with Fox to do a scripted show on his life with “Glee” producer Brad Falchuk. Falchuk is dating Gwyneth Paltrow, whose website Goop has positively covered Snctm. Lawner says Falchuk and Paltrow have come to parties together.

“[Gwyneth is] not a crazy-kinky person, like people think,” he says. “She’s a down-to-earth total sweetheart . . . They are exploratory with each other.”

(At press time, reps for Fox and Showtime could not confirm that these projects were in development. Reps for Maher, Paltrow and Falchuck did not respond.)

A wealthy member of an elite sex club has been kicked out for inappropriate behavior - and forfeited his $75,000 a year membership.

Phuong Tran, who is also known as the Bunnyman, was accused of ‘disgusting behavior’ by Snctm which took the extraordinary step of publicly naming him and releasing his picture.

Tran is said to have been ‘mean-spirited’ and ‘exploitative’ and sent messages on Instagram to the 12-year-old daughter of a Snctm founder which left her upset.

According to a profile in Esquire Tran is 34-year-old Vietnamese immigrant and was the very first person to buy a Snctm membership.

He described himself as sexually repressed until he attended one of the events and is now so liberated that he wears a black leather mask and rabbit ears when he’s partying.

Snctm’s decision to publicly name Tran - an apparent breach of its own rules regarding secrecy - speaks to the extent of the rift between the two parties.

The events have been called ‘Hollywood’s most elite sex party’ and attendees include actresses, billionaires and executives.

In a release to its members, Snctm said that Tran was losing his Dominus membership, which costs $75,000 and is only available to 20 people worldwide.

Basic memberships cost $20,000 each year and three individuals have the Violet Key Benefactors which are a one time payment of $1million.

In a statement Snctm said: ‘Phuong Tran aka the Bunnyman has been banned for life from the club for behavior unbecoming of a Snctm member.

‘He was stripped of his Dominus membership, and will never again be seen walking our hallowed halls.

‘Nothing he says may be relied upon, and he is now outside our circle forever. We won’t tolerate mean-spirited or exploitative behavior towards others at Snctm, even from our highest ranking members.

‘Yesterday Phuong stooped so low as to contact our founder’s 12 year old daughter on Instagram with messages that hurt her deeply. This was the final straw.

‘We feel it necessary to shine light on his disgusting behavior, taking the extraordinary step to expose one of our former members so that our growing community knows to avoid him.

‘We have never done this before. Phuong’s actions are despicable, and we are compelled to announce the truth’.

Tran’s Dominus membership would have cost him $75,000 a year meaning that since Snctm was founded in 2012 he would have paid around $500,000 in total.

It would have got him entry the private ‘Oculus Dei’ lounge at Masquerade events.

Scntm says that ‘inside this elite sanctuary ‘awaits decadent indulgences many will never know’.

Posts shared to the account in November paint a picture of a member disgruntled with the club. One was captioned: 'The Snctm Family is Dead, Long Live Sanctum Club. Feel free to share, tag a friend, be “extra,” or whatever you millennials like to do….'

Another post said: 'In the beginning, Sanctum Club was a magical place. In my original vision, it was to be a world of intrigue and sensuality. In a post on a website linked to the Instagram account, the member again complains that the ‘pillars of privacy, safety and exploration’ which sustained Snctm have ‘crumbled’.

He complained that it is more like a ‘college house party’ and there are no longer any ‘intimate moments’.

It also says that allowing TV cameras in to film a show was an ‘appeal to the lowest common denominator’ and that it is no longer an ‘elite’ club.

A provocative documentary series aired on Showtime last year offering a candid look behind the scenes of the club.

The eight-part series titled Naked SNCTM, which premiered in mid-August, followed the exploits of the club's founder, Damon Lawner, as he and his team of burlesque performers, event planners and chefs host Eyes Wide Shut-style events mixing erotic theater, S&M and masquerade.

Lawner, 45, who is a father-of-two and divorced, founded the club four years ago.

Lawner said he and his staff are banned from engaging in sexual activities during their events, but, according to an article published in the New York Post last year, he likes to watch.

The Esquire profile describes Tran as somebody who likes to ‘geek out’ on a subject until he becomes an expert.
