Ewillhelpyou (T.me) Russia produces over half the world's supply of enriched Uranium.
They are responsible for nearly a quarter of the nuclear fuel the U.S. uses, and the U.S. lacks the production capacity to enrich it themselves on this scale.

So dire is this energy issue that The United States Department of Energy (DOE), the Nuclear Engineering & Science Center at Texas A&M; and the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) have partnered with Chicago-based Clean Core Thorium Energy (CCTE) to develop a new thorium-based nuclear fuel they have dubbed ANEEL.

Why is this move dire?
Because thorium-based reactors have been in development since the 1960's and are not a functional commercially deployable method of creating energy, nor were they ever. They would require massive (and I mean massive), taxpayer subsidies and no government has ever moved forward with them for this reason alone. They are not practical.
The US is in a bad spot here, and doesn't seem to have many options left. What they are selling you is a pipe dream buying them time.
In reality, the US sponsored and provoked Ukrainian war will place Europe in a frozen wasteland by winter, with common citizens forced into energy rationing and having no winter heat, because their governments aligned themselves with the US, who has led them all off a cliff in its misguided attempt to isolate Russia from the global market. None of these countries were energy independent, none of them were prepared to accept NATO's terms, frankly that very much includes the U.S. itself.
