Altitude 40,000 (T.me) A lot of chatter has been kicked off as a result of a recent interview on British TV with Dr Jan Halper-Hayes.

In that interview, Dr. Halper-Hayes said a lot of good stuff about Trump, the outrageous indictments, etc. But she closed the interview with some eye-widening assertions regarding Trump’s supposed ending of the USA Corporation, the meaning of Trump’s interactions with the Queen, and an assertion that Trump’s visit to the Vatican displeased the Pope, especially because it took place at the same time that gold owned by the USA was being repatriated from the Vatican.
Dr Halper-Hayes asserted that it took some “650 planes” to get the gold from Rome to the USA.
650 planes?
Hold up a second.
Let’s assume that the USA used it’s most plentiful heavy lifter, the C-17, for these 650 sorties that were required to repatriate the gold.
A fully loaded C-17 can carry 157,000 pounds of cargo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_C-17_Globemaster_III), but this limits the range. Let’s assume they only loaded them up to half capacity so they simplified refuelling logistics. Thus we have each sortie carrying a load of about 75,000 pounds, or about 37.5 tons.
650 x 37.5 = 24,375
24,375 tons?
Even if you presume they only loaded the aircraft to 1/4 capacity, you still end up with over 12,000 tons of gold supposedly repatriated from Rome to the USA.
Both of these figures are vastly in excess of the 8,134 metric tons (8966 US tons) officially held by the USA as gold reserves:

So what may we conclude about this (especially since Trump himself linked to this interview)?
The simplest explanation, and therefore most likely in my view, is that Trump is winking at us to remind us that we have the individual responsibility to use our own ability to examine factual assertions to decide what we find credible, or not. And his wink would also indicate that he is happy to have some wild tales being told out there to keep his enemies guessing.
Another tantalising possibility is that Dr. Halper-Hays was not mistaken or exaggerating and the actual amount of gold held by the USA is substantially greater than the declared 8134 metric tons.
This is significant for those, like myself, who have watched with great interest the development of the BRICS bloc and its supposed plans for a gold-backed alternative to the US dollar as a reserve currency. What would a sudden update to the USA gold reserves do in this context?
As someone who believes that Trump thinks larger than I ever could, I struggle to keep my feet on the ground where they can do some good, rather than find myself aloft in the clouds again following rampant speculation.
In any case, our job remains exercising civic responsibility in our local communities such that the local branches of the deep state are defeated as Trump takes on the centralised swamp on our behalf.
