Law enforcement agencies across Ohio continue to work diligently against sexual predators of all kinds — from human trafficking to online crimes against children. It is a fight that never ends.
But late last week, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, on behalf of several authorities in the region, announced the arrest of 14 people for online sex crimes in Northeast Ohio, according to a report by WOIO-TV.
The accused men were allegedly interacting with children through popular social media in a sexual manner, WOIO reports. Well, they thought they were, anyway. The victims were undercover officers posing as children.
Horrifyingly, one of the accused is an elementary school teacher in Mentor. He has been placed on administrative leave.

Hazmat crews and other emergency personnel are currently on the scene at 1168 L.A. Live Way in downtown Los Angeles, responding to a chemical spill from a 55-gallon drum. Multiple employees complained of general sickness due to fumes emanating from unknown contents inside the drum. Emergency officials report that 30 people are injured and require medical assistance. Fire crews indicate that the substance is possibly ammonia, but its exact nature remains unknown as they are still working to identify the spilled chemical. The injured individuals will be treated on-site, and there is no need for transportation to medical facilities for additional treatment.
