Just talked with JW.

Only way to delete spam is manually by UID - but that takes forever. Plz see below.

I want to help the international threads on /qresearch/ that are getting filled with spam. there will be a few posts at the top, then 745 or so posts with spam. Each post has a different UID. I obviously can't delete them individually, need another tool. Is there a way to do this?

Individual deletion is the only way. It is a real nasty attack. We have put on countermeasures, but they will try another vector. It is a paid attack. Someone posted something real that is not disinformation then it gets buried by a paid attack.

We put a filter on to block it last time it lasted a day they figured it out so we modified. It is cat and mouse game

So many unique posts

We're got multiple comp'd international threads - the baker who maintains there threads is devastated.

Questions:

  1. Could a method be developed to allow for the editing and deleting of posts without reference to UID - by using just a range of post numbers within the thread? That way, we could at least undo the damage.

  2. Would it be worthwhile to remove the spam if the poster can just turn around a post it again?

  3. Is the attack over or ongoing? If it's expensive, seems like it wouldn't be forever.

He will be posting again, after he figures out a new vector

It is very expensive

We were able to block him two hours ago, so now he is thinking on next way and he has more resources. Unlimited resources
