Alleged shouting from Justice Roberts re Texas case - true or not?

Supreme Court Responds To Claims That Roberts Screamed At Other Justices Over Texas Election Lawsuit

by Tyler Durden Friday, Dec 18, 2020 - 15:28

Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times,

A spokesperson for the U.S. Supreme Court disputed a report that claimed Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts shouted at the eight other justices in a room in the high court, urging them not to the Texas election lawsuit against four other key states.

As guidance, the court “has been conducting its conferences remotely by phone since March when the building closed due to the pandemic,” a Supreme Court spokesperson told The Epoch Times via email on Friday in response to a question about the claim.

The statement contradicts what a GOP Texas elector, Matt Patrick, said earlier this week, claiming that an anonymous person said that “the Justices went into a closed room” to determine whether to take the Texas lawsuit that was eventually dismissed. Then, according to the elector, “When the Texas case was brought up he said he heard screaming through the walls as Justice Roberts and the other liberal Justices were insisting … afraid of what would happen if they did the right thing.”

The claim first appeared on Hal Turner’s website, sourcing an alleged “clerk for one of the [Supreme Court] justices.” It is unclear where Patrick obtained his information.

“The Justices met in a closed and sealed room, as is standard,” Turner’s website said, citing the alleged Supreme Court whistleblower.

“Usually it is very calm, however today we could hear screaming all the way down the hall. They met in person, because they didn’t trust telephonic meeting as secure. Chief Justice Roberts was screaming, ‘Are you going to be responsible for the rioting if we hear this case?’”

LA Is Spending $130,000 Per "Tiny Home" To Shelter Its Homeless

by Tyler Durden Friday, Dec 18, 2020 - 22:00

When, last week, we wrote about 56% of Americans stating they would be OK living in a "tiny home", this isn't what we had in mind.

But apparently, in L.A., being homeless has its perks. What better way for California to help get its budget crisis under control than to pay for minimalist structures, known as “tiny homes”, to the total cost of $130,000 each, for its homeless. What was once an idea to house the homeless in "emergency shelters" has now - as things do in liberal states - turned into "expensive development projects with access roads, underground utilities and concrete foundations," according to the LA Times.

LA has opened one "village" and has planned five more. Mayor Eric Garcetti has championed the program as a way for the city to stop neglecting its homeless - an issue that was brought up in a recent federal lawsuit against the city.

The total cost of the first village is now about $5.2 million. Additional projects that are set to open in April are "projected" to cost less, but we'll believe it when we see it. The city says for those villages, it expects to spend "at least $82,000 per shelter". The contract attracted only one bid, which came in more than $400,000 over expectations.

>Fuckin aye, 10 of em' could live like kings for a year for that price.

No shit. Isn't communism grand. In this case 130 grand per tiny shelter.

loser biden wants garcetti in his administration

The city is a clusterf*ck. You should see really how bad it is. The dirt road in neighboring states are better then some of the paved roads in LA.

Georgia Poll Workers Who Raised Election Concerns Terminated

by Tyler Durden Friday, Dec 18, 2020 - 18:20

Authored by Zachary Stieber via The Epoch Times

Poll workers in Georgia who raised concerns about election irregularities were informed this week that their contracts are not being renewed, according to letters obtained by Epoch Media Group.

Bridget Thorne and Susan Voyles say they witnessed abnormal actions taken during the election in Fulton County. They’ve spoken to news outlets and state legislators about what they saw.

In the new letters, Dwight Brower, elections consultant for the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections, informs the women that Georgia law enables officials to appoint poll managers, and managers must be reappointed for each election event.

“There are many factors (management skills, performance, actions, behavior, etc.) considered prior to making reappointments for each primary or election. Unfortunately, a decision has been made to not reappoint you in a poll management or other poll positions in Fulton County,” Brower wrote.

“I see it as a direct consequence of my being honest,” Voyles told NTD, which is part of Epoch Media Group.

“In that oath, we say that I will, to the best of my abilities, make sure there is no fraud, deceit—it kind of goes on down like this,” Voyles added. “So I saw what I was doing was an extension of my job as a poll manager. In other words, I had seen fraud I had seen deceit, I had seen the things that in our poll reading we were warned to stay away from and to report if we see them. I did, and in this case, at this point, the truth was not received well.”

A Fulton County spokeswoman didn’t respond to requests for comment.

In Los Angeles some of the sidewalks are paved with human shit, watered with human piss and covered with trash.

If corona virus was truly deadly it would be a godsend.

And don't get me started on the rodents they're everywhere even in the good suburbs and surrounding areas. It will be the birth of plague in our nation before we know it.

I'm not in the city but close and my travels take me to some areas that are pretty bad. Other areas are much worse, like I described in >26408 it boggles the mind how the pols and elites let it get this way. This plan has been unfolding for decades, it's systematic and undeniable.

I can't seem to make notepad++ work.

Anytime I type numbers or symbols they don't appear but letters work fine, If I type a period at the end of a sentence the whole sentence disappears.

Having the same problem when I save images in the photos entering in titles in title bar. Letters enter fine but as soon as I use a symbol everything disappears.

Not sure if there related but it seems so.

The Zoom Story You Absolutely Don’t Want to Know About

The Zoom-China connection is getting too cozy to ignore.

By: Leesa K. Donner December 19, 2020

With COVID-19 as a backdrop, millions of Americans have increasingly turned to Zoom conferencing as an easy and inexpensive means of communication. Everything from cocktail parties to board of trustee meetings are taking place on the leader in video conferencing by the thousands every day. However, like so much technology these days, the Chinese have their fingerprints all over Zoom for nefarious reasons.

On Friday, Dec. 18, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York charged a former Zoom executive Xinjiang Jin aka Julien Jin, with “conspiracy to commit interstate harassment and unlawful conspiracy to transfer a means of identification.” That’s legalese for – pick-a-first name Jin is now wanted by the FBI for doing some unbelievably bad things to former Chinese dissidents who now live in the United States.

If convicted, Mr. Jin could get up to 10 years in prison, but that’s not likely as he is based in China, and federal authorities would be hard-pressed to get their hands on him. What did he do to earn himself a place on the FBI’s wanted list? Plenty.

Jin reported to the communist Chinese party regularly, handed over private information to the PRC, and even went so far as to cut off video conferences for meetings considered “unacceptable to the Chinese Communist Party,” according to the Washington Examiner. The DOJ complaint puts it this way: “between January 2019 to the present, Jin and others conspired to use Company-1’s systems in the United States to censor the political and religious speech of individuals located in the United States and around the world at the direction … of officials of the PRC government.” The Zoom executive ended four or more video meetings held in honor of the 35th anniversary of Tiananmen Square events.

A significant amount of troubling news regarding the Chinese use of technology to infiltrate the U.S. has made headlines of late. This includes — but is not limited to — the gathering of American DNA information, a leaked list of 2 million CCP spies operating in Western countries, and questions about the app TikTok regarding the mining of private data.
