SERIOUS WORDS.. you hear someone is a used car sales person.. just know they would sell their moms for the right price.. and their daughters too..
look forward to the newer transmissions.. 6 and 10 speed. I rebuild them, and the newer transmissions with moar gears allows for a cleaner transfer of power, not the huge gaps in power/powerband to shift.. so you get less wear on individual gears/steels/frictions and the harshness of mashing pedal and having to 3500 Torque Convert spin to lock.. and that jarring head bob after gear shifted is less likely now.
FWIW the eco boost 3.5TT is a badass engine and in a vehicle with it.. it is like being in a rocket sled.. you NEVER feel power dropping off.. feels like it could climb to the moon!
daily dad calling and asking "why is Trump allowing it to happen if.."
Every day.. Dad normies won't wake their asses up till it effects them.. it has to hurt em a lil to wake em up..
(next day call.. "If Trump knows then why?…")
Me: Le Sigh..
bottom end are you talking valve body?
And plate gasket, I think you were talking with me way back in the day about this. The newer separator plates usually have the gaskets bonded to them now.
So it is a governor controlled unit, have you checked the vacuum lines for rot?
I will email my buddy, if it is trans shift is cable and governor controlled then yeah I would look in those directions first, you said the cable has been adjusted fully out, and any time you have seals/orings.. this is all a trans is about, a fluid pump if you will.. those plungers and all are uber important as you already know. The pump seals are the toughest to mess with and if fail, doesn't matter how well trans is built, it won't move.
I met the guy who designed the Flex. I was one of the SHO people who got Ford to re-introduce the SHO in 2010. Went to Dallas AutoSHow Jan of 2010, was there before the media got there, was interviewed by "car and driver" and got to eat lunch with the CEO of Chevy/GM (he was cool down to earth dude).. the guy who designed the Flex also designed the exterior of the SHO.
