Biden inauguration rehearsal postponed due to ongoing security threats | Just The News
https://twitter.com/jsolomonReports/status/1350111019025240064
rehearsal for incoming Democratic president Joe Biden's inauguration slated for Sunday has been postponed due to security threats, according to news reports.
The rehearsal is now scheduled to take place Monday.
Security throughout Washington, D.C., is extreme tight, amid FBI warnings of protests, possibly armed, in the nation's capitol and all 50 states over the weekend and into Wednesday when inauguration events take place.
Following last week's breach of the U.S. Capitol Building, as many as 20,000 National Guard troops have been activated and stationed throughout Washington.
Biden's team has also canceled an Amtrak trip that the president-elect was scheduled to take from home town Wilmington, Del., to Washington on Monday, citing heightened security concerns.
On Wednesday, Biden received a briefing on the threats identified by the FBI, Secret Service, and national security officials.
"In the week since the attack on Congress by a mob that included domestic terrorists and violent extremists, the nation has continued to learn more about the threat to our democracy and about the potential for additional violence in the coming days," the Biden transition team said earlier this week. "This is a challenge that the President-elect and his team take incredibly seriously."

Interesting read. Do we get THIS in part of the DECLAS? Part of the EO?
The 1996 United States campaign finance controversy was an alleged effort by the People's Republic of China to influence domestic American politics prior to and during the Clinton administration and also involved the fund-raising practices of the administration itself.
While questions regarding the U.S. Democratic Party's fund-raising activities first arose over a Los Angeles Times article published on September 21, 1996,[1] China's alleged role in the affair first gained public attention when Bob Woodward and Brian Duffy of The Washington Post published a story stating that a United States Department of Justice investigation into the fund-raising activities had uncovered evidence that agents of China sought to direct contributions from foreign sources to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) before the 1996 presidential campaign. The journalists wrote that intelligence information had shown the Chinese embassy in Washington, D.C. was used for coordinating contributions to the DNC[2] in violation of United States law forbidding non-American citizens or non-permanent residents from giving monetary donations to United States politicians and political parties. A Republican investigator of the controversy stated the Chinese plan targeted both presidential and congressional United States elections, while Democratic senators said the evidence showed the Chinese targeted only congressional elections. The government of the People's Republic of China denied all accusations.
According to the U.S. Senate report, Chinese officials eventually developed a set of proposals to promote their interests with the United States government and to improve China's image with the American people. The proposals, dubbed the "China Plan", were prompted by the United States Congress's successful lobbying of President Bill Clinton to grant a visa to Taiwan President Lee Teng-hui. U.S. Secretary of State Warren Christopher had previously assured his Chinese counterpart Chinese Foreign Minister Qian Qichen that granting a visa would be "inconsistent with [the United States'] unofficial relationship [with Taiwan]"[3] and the Clinton Administration's acquiescence to the Congressional resolutions led China to conclude that the influence of Congress over foreign policy was more significant than it had previously determined. When formulating the so-called plan, Chinese officials acknowledged that, compared to other countries, it had little knowledge of, or influence over, policy decisions made in Congress, which had a sizeable pro-Taiwan faction under the influence of a more established "China Lobby" run by the Kuomintang.[4][page needed] The plan, according to the Senate report, instructed Chinese officials in the U.S. to improve their knowledge about members of Congress and increase contacts with its members, the public, and the media. The plan also suggested ways to lobby United States officials.[4][page needed]
Over the years, China repeatedly denied that their lobbying efforts involved financial contributions of any kind, e.g., stating "some people and media in the United States speculated… about so-called participation by Chinese individuals in political donations during the U.S. elections. It is sheer fabrication and is intended to slander China. [China] has never, nor will we ever, use money to influence American politics" — a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, May 1998.[5]

Left-Wing Terrorists Bombed The Senate In 1983. Bill Clinton Let Them Out Of Prison Early — At Jerry Nadler’s Request
January 11, 2021 By Tristan Justice
On his final day in office, Jan. 20, 2001, President Bill Clinton commuted the sentences of a pair of radical leftists serving time for bombing the U.S. Capitol building, where a 1983 blast shattered the second floor of the Senate wing.
Fact: House Judiciary Committee Chairman @RepJerryNadler got President Clinton to pardon terrorist Susan Rosenberg, who planted a bomb outside the US Senate chamber in 1983 to try to assassinate Republican senators. pic.twitter.com/5AaKYao5FK
— J Michael Waller (@JMichaelWaller) January 9, 2021
Linda Evans and Susan Rosenberg each served 16 years of lengthy sentences, with Rosenberg escaping 42 years of a 58-year sentence and Evans cutting short a 40-year sentence by 24 years.
The FBI landed formal indictments on Evans and Rosenberg in the 1988 “Resistance Conspiracy” case for their involvement in the bombing of the Capitol along with five others. Evans and Rosenberg had already been in police custody for other crimes of the radical left-wing terror group May 19th Communist Organization (M19), named for the birthdays of Malcolm X and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh. According to a historical chronology of the left-wing group by the Smithsonian Magazine, M19 also carried out successful bombings of an FBI office, the Israel Aircraft Industries building, the South African consulate in New York, and D.C.’s Fort McNair and Navy Yard.
“The attacks tended to follow a similar pattern,” the magazine reported. “A warning call to clear the area, an explosion, a pre-recorded message to media railing against U.S. imperialism or the war machine under various organizational aliases (never using the name M19).”
Rosenberg is now a prominent left-wing activist, who, early last summer sat on the board of Thousand Currents which poured $10 million into causes for social justice including Black Lives Matter, according to Fox News.
A historian interviewed by the Smithsonian described the group as an “offshoot” of Weather Underground, the domestic terror group led by Bill Ayers, who bombed the Pentagon and the Capitol in the 1970s and now lives as a prominent academic. M19’s acts of radical left-wing terror appeared to catch a sympathetic eye in Washington that would relieve its members of their time in prison.
According to the New York Post in 2001, New York Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler, who today serves as the House Judiciary Committee chairman, played a “crucial role” in Clinton’s decision to commute Rosenberg’s sentence. Nadler’s rabbi, a Nadler spokesman at the time told the Post, gave “compelling information from [Rosenberg’s] parole hearing” to the Manhattan congressman, who, in turn, passed on the material to the White House counsel’s office. That transfer, the Post reported, played a “key role” in the president’s decision to include Rosenberg on his list of 140 last-minute pardons just moments before George W. Bush took the White House.
Rosenberg’s case is a reminder of the long, growing list of left-wing acts of terrorism either excused or endorsed by Democrats and their allies in corporate media, who now condemn the violent attacks on the U.S. Capitol that came from right-wing extremists last week.
Nadler, in his role as House Judiciary chair, has been among the most vocal in Congress, outraged at the Capitol chaos that ensued and demanding that the president be impeached after failing to successfully remove Trump last year.
I am once again urging that President Trump be impeached and removed from office. We have a limited period of time in which to act. The nation cannot afford a drawn out process and I support bringing articles of impeachment directly to the House floor.https://t.co/xpuFwaLTC0
— Rep. Nadler (@RepJerryNadler) January 7, 2021
It was only several months ago, however, that Nadler dismissed violence by Antifa, the radical left-wing terror group of the 21st century, as a “myth,” while the militant anarchists erupted a historic summer of unrest that tore apart downtown city centers.
Can someone please explain to me how this works? We are willing to spend all credibility to defend what can be INSTANTLY invalidated. Who came up with this policy, why does it exist, and how is anyone able to maintain it without deviating from the script?pic.twitter.com/K4RFozkQde
— Eric Weinstein (@EricRWeinstein) July 27, 2020
“Do you disavow the violence from Antifa?” asked writer-producer Austen Fletcher.
“That’s a myth that’s been spread only in Washington, D.C.,” Nadler said.
“About Antifa in Portland?” Fletcher clarified, as its Portland militants held the city under siege.
“Yes,” Nadler concluded.

Amazon hit with class action antitrust lawsuit claiming it colluded with major publishers to illegally drive up ebook prices by 30%
Amazon is facing fresh antitrust scrutiny after consumers filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing the company of illegally colluding with major book publishers to drive up prices for ebooks.
The lawsuit claimed that Amazon negotiated anticompetitive deals in 2015 with the "big five" publishers — Hachette, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, and Simon & Schuster — that allowed them to "inflate" prices by up to 30%.
Amazon, which controlled nearly 90% of the ebook market as of 2018, was able to benefit immensely from the higher prices by charging consumers more, according to the lawsuit.
Apple was found guilty in 2013 of colluding with the same five publishers — using a similar pricing practice — to illegally fix ebook prices, and lawmakers in the US and EU have previously criticized Amazon's alleged use of the so-called "most favored nations" clauses.
Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
Several ebook customers on Thursday filed a lawsuit against Amazon accusing it of violating antitrust laws by illegally colluding with the "big five" publishing houses to drive up the prices of ebooks.
The lawsuit alleged that Amazon entered into anticompetitive pricing agreements in 2015 with Hachette, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, and Simon & Schuster that allowed the companies to artificially increase prices by as much as 30%.
Amazon, which controlled 89% of the ebook market as of 2018, according to a Bloomberg analysis cited in the suit, then used its dominance to benefit from those prices hikes by charging consumers more.
"Time and again, Amazon's response to competition is not to compete on a level playing field, but to try to eliminate the competition – and that's not how things are supposed to work," Steve Berman, managing partner of Hagens Berman, the law firm that brought the suit, told Business Insider in a press release.
Amazon and Hachette declined to comment. The other publishers did not respond to requests for comment.
The lawsuit alleged that Amazon illegally inflated prices using a tactic called as "pricing parity," which relies on "most-favored-nation" clauses. MFNs are, in the business context, agreements between buyers and sellers that ensure a buyer gets as good of a deal on that seller's products as any other buyer in the market.
But the lawsuit — similar to previous investigations by lawmakers in the US and EU — accused Amazon of using MFNs to instead prevent publishers from selling their ebooks to consumers at a lower price on websites that compete with Amazon.

President Donald Trump will hold an unprecedented farewell event at Joint Base Andrews the morning of Joe Biden's inauguration and then leave town before his successor takes the oath of office.
Trump's farewell will take place at the base outside Washington where Air Force One is headquartered. No recent president has had his own sendoff ceremony at JBA.
He then plans to fly to his Mar-a-Lago residence before Biden takes the oath of office at noon, which is when Biden will become the nation's 46th president.
Leaving while he is still president will also allow Trump to use the call sign 'Air Force One' for his flight to Palm Beach, Florida.
If Trump left Washington after Biden takes the oath, he would have to ask Biden to let him use the custom-built plane with its distinctive blue and white paint. All outgoing presidents have to make such a request, which is usually granted.
However, it would not have the call sign Air Force One as that can only be used when the current president is on board.
Traditionally, an outgoing president attends his successor's swearing-in, then departs the ground of the U.S. Capitol in a military helicopter to fly to JBA where he takes a government plane to his final destination.
For example, when Barack Obama departed D.C. after he left office, the plane used the call sign 'Special Mission 44' - the number referring to Obama's presidency. If the same pattern is followed, Trump's flight would be 'Special Mission 45.'
But if Trump departs ahead of Biden's swearing-in, the plane would go by Air Force One.
Trump announced last week he would not attend his successor's inauguration on January 20th, to which Biden replied: 'One of the few things he and I have ever agreed on. It's a good thing him not showing up.'
As his days in office dwindle, both Melania Trump and White House staff have been busy packing up.
The first lady secretly started packing up the residence before her husband conceded he lost the election - working in stealth with the staff in order not to anger him.
'(Melania Trump) is not sad to be leaving,' one White House official told CNN.
The first family will move to Mar-a-Lago after leaving Washington D.C.
Moving vans were spotted outside the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on Wednesday and Thursday as the first family and Trump administration staff prepare to exit the premises.
