Mornin’ waker, all good. And you? POTUS’ sounds like he’s had enough days off and is ready to rock hard once again.
They better watch out.
Google Workers Announce International Union Alliance
Google workers across the world are reportedly forming a global union alliance called “Alpha Global” with the goal of holding Google and parent company Alphabet accountable.
The Verge reports that Google workers worldwide are coming together to form a global union alliance called Alpha Global. The group is comprised of 13 different unions representing workers in 10 different countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
The announcement comes shortly after Google employees in the U.S. and Canada announced the Alphabet Workers Union. The union is associated with the Communications Workers of America and has grown from 230 members to more than 700 within a week.
Alpha Global is affiliated with the UNI Global Union which is a labor union federation representing 20 million workers worldwide, including Amazon workers. Parul Koul, executive chair of the Alphabet Workers Union and a Google software engineer, said in a statement:
We know that organizing for justice at a global company like Alphabet does not stop at national boundaries.
That is why it is so important to unite with workers in other countries. In a world where inequality is tearing apart, our societies and corporations are hoarding more influence than ever, reclaiming our power through our unions has never been more important.
UNI general secretary Christy Hoffman commented:
The problems at Alphabet — and created by Alphabet — are not limited to any one country, and must be addressed on a global level.
The movement launched by tech workers at Google and beyond is inspiring. They are using their collective muscle to not only transform their conditions of employment but also to address social issues caused by increasing concentration of corporate power.
Fionnuala Ní Bhrógáin, an organizer with the Communications Workers’ Union in Ireland, said in a statement:
The power of these global tech companies is such that they’re in every part of our lives. If they’re acting in this way nearly entirely unchecked by governments then there is no hold on what they can do. That power needs to be checked, and it’s only through collective action that workers are able to do that.
Alpha Global is another sign that tech worker unionization efforts are accelerating globally. With Google and Amazon facing worker unionization, many other high tech companies may face the same problem.

Agree. Anything from Alphabet is smelly.
Fresh update on how DC’s looking. This guy’s been great through it all, posting videos and photos.
Bannon was saying yesterday it’s like Baghdad in DC but no one would know as the MSN aren’t mentioning it.

No way. Because of the administration change? Or it was only for 4 years? That’s not so good. A lot of re-organising to do and stress you don’t need when running a co.
Step by step you’ll be able to see the best way to proceed. Suppose everything’s changing just now as well, makes it hard to plan structure. There’s always a way though. Might turn out even better if you play those cards cleva, like y’do.
All the best with it bro. Feelz for ya. It’ll be fine.

Have no answers. We knew it was bad but had hope that justice would be served. It hasn’t. It’s a whole lot to come to terms with.
The realisation that the country is a banana republic masquerading as a civilised one governed by the rule of law is probably the hardest pill we’ll ever have to swallow. I don’t know what can be done at this point and if there’s any hope.
The media does an excellent job of normalising everything. Just another day. Yeah. Right.
The SC just refused to hear the evidence. Refused to look at the evidence, even with a Conservative majority in there.
Either all those people we saw giving evidence at the hearings were liars, or the SC don’t care about the integrity of our elections and getting to the bottom of any sign of interference. Comped is the only answer I’m seeing.
Who can prove that the SC is comped? A whistleblower possibly.
WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has approved a plan that would keep some 5,000 National Guard troops in Washingtonfor several monthsat the request of federal law enforcement agencies concerned about the potential for violence in the national capital.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has approved a plan to retain 7,000 National Guard soldiers and airmen in Washington through March 12 and then 5,000indefinitely beyond that date, Army and National Guard officials said Monday. The troops continuing presence in the city, where a mob of former President Donald Trump’s supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, was requested by the U.S. Park Police, the Secret Service, the Capitol Police, and metro police, acting Army Secretary John Whitley said.
National Guard forces in D.C. drew down from nearly 26,000 for President Joe Biden’s inauguration Jan. 20 to about 13,000 over the weekend, said Army Gen. Daniel Hokanson, the chief of the National Guard Bureau. They are expected to draw down to the about 7,000 troops by the end of the week.
Most of the remaining troops — many of them armed — will provide security at the Capitol as the FBI has warned officials of several forthcoming demonstrations that they are concerned could turn violent.
Army Maj. Gen. William Walker, the D.C. National Guard commander, declined to provide specifics about the potential threat, but he said law enforcement officials were keeping the Guard abreast of any threats to troops in the area.

Some sauce on the SC and election fraud cases. Looks like they’re still going to hear them.
Guess it’s a chance…
According to Forbes, the Supreme Court intends to hear the cases but "on a slower timeline after Inauguration Day, which would be too late for the court to potentially grant the plaintiffs' requests for the court to overturn the election results."
The Forbes revealed that there are 63 post-election cases filed by Trump and the GOP that were "either lost in court or withdrew, according to a tally kept by Democratic Party attorney Marc Elias, and they only netted one minor win."
Forbes stressed thatpeople should watch out for the fact that "the court has still not yet issued a decision on whether they'll take up full consideration of a case concerning Pennsylvania's mail-in deadline allowing ballots to arrive after Election Day," which "could affect how future elections are run" even though it may not actually overturn the results of the election.Forbes stated that the Pennsylvania results only differed by 10,000 ballots should the court actually consider the case.

'Lawyer up, and get out': FBI first spurned Hunter Biden laptop, says Delaware tech repairman
John Paul Mac Isaac, the Delaware computer shop owner who unwittingly came into possession of Hunter Biden's laptop, says an FBI agent initially gave a stern warning to his family when first offered a copy of the explosive evidence about Joe Biden's son: "You better lawyer up and get out of my office."
In a wide-ranging interview Monday with Just the News, Isaac described what concerned him most about the contents on the laptop, his extensive efforts to get authorities in law enforcement and Congress to pay attention to it and his anger at the news media, Democrats and even security officials who initially accused him of carrying out a Russian disinformation campaign or trying to make money off the discovery.
U.S. intelligence has determined the laptop contents — now in the hands of the FBI and Congress and part of a criminal tax case — were not Russian disinformation. Isaac said he never took a dime for providing the materials to the FBI, Congress and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, not even when offered reimbursement for the hard drive equipment he used to make copies.
"Well, for somebody who's not very political, I assume what happened to me was the quintessential political hit job, to have that many people come out, without even talking to me, or having a conversation without doing a single background check," he told the John Solomon Reports podcast.
"I still feel a little bit upset about that," he added. "I have people that I've known for a long time, they're convinced that I'm a tool, or I've been a pawn or I got huge payout. And it's completely decimated my business. I had to leave town."
Isaac said the efforts "tagging me to Russia" were insulting, given that his father and grandfathers served in the military dating to World War II. He said he believed the attacks were just an outgrowth of the false Russia collusion story used to vilify President Trump at the start of his presidency.
"I get why they [critics] did it," he said. "It's topical. Everybody's scared of Russia, Russia, Russia. And why not, you know, if it worked four or six years ago, try it again."
Isaac said one of his biggest disappointments was the FBI's behavior when his family offered the contents of the hard drive to agents.
Isaac said a man identifying himself as Hunter Biden dropped off the laptop and other water-damaged computer equipment in early spring 2019 and failed to pick it up, even after signing a document declaring it would become his shop's property in 90 days.
