#CapitolRiots Speaking to reporters today, Acting US Attorney in DC Michael Sherwin + FBI Assistant Director Steven D’Antuono reinforced the importance of identifying the individual(s) behind these pipe bombs first reported within hours of the Capitol breach by @CBSNews

Both devices were viable, discovered at RNC 1245p + DNC 1315p. This is the critical window on 1/6 when rioters began pushing onto the Capitol Hill campus just before 1pm. Both devices were “rendered safe,” which means forensic analysis unlikely to reveal DNA evidence or prints of the bomb maker(s.) Knowing who/what group was behind the devices goes to pre-meditation, coordination, and possible larger conspiracy. FBI reward now 75k
