Who is Douglass Mackey?

Said to be spreading "antisemitic and racist memes" and "allegedly advised Twitter users to text their 2016 vote via phone."

What did Mackey actually do that was illegal (if anything)? What did he post? Was he serious or joking? If FBI going after satire now?

Don't wanna use Mackey's tactics (not very ethical) but the guy shouldn't get the book thrown at him bc he's putting out memes against the left or engaged in a disinfo campaign - as long as it's legal. Show me specifically what he has done that is not legal (and also what the usual penalties are if it's not - a long prison sentence or a slap on the wrist?).

If i say to a women, "i like your dress," and it's a lie, will the FBI be knockin' at muh door for puttin out disinformation? Suppose i say it to a whole group, "I like your ideas", that THAT'S a lie - and it can be shown I believe differently. Do I go to jail for lying to them?

The sane response to disinfo is to put out well-sourced and credible info to counter it. Duh.

If the FBI is so keen to look into disinfo campaigns that affect an election, they ought to look further into the disinfo campaign New Knowledge (and other dem-sponsored groups) engaged in during the 2017 Alabama Senatorial election. Highly successful - dems won the election. Lots to probe there. They can start with qresear.ch, it's all documented there.

CH did not make the vid. Her role was mainly to note (after anchor played it) that Capitol police didn't get the reinforcements they needed on Jan 6.

Video focuses for literally 2-3 seconds on violence in PNW - which they do not mention is really serious and comes from the LEFT - and then jumps to the real target: RW militias, "extremists," etc. Terrifically biased approach from both Homeland Security and CBS. Some day people will hang their heads in shame about the attempted villification of half the country, it's McCarthy x10.
